Drew Brees reveals his pre-game chant secrets
 

Have you ever wondered just what Drew Brees is saying when he's in the pre-game huddle with his teammates and getting them all pumped up?

I'm willing to bet that we all have wondered just that and also tried to figure it out too. You can hear him counting and hear him saying "win" and "again," but just can't quite put it all together. Throw in the fact that the rest of the team is screaming back at him and getting all ready for the game and we're left with nothing and Brees has his little secret.

Times have changed ever since the Super Bowl MVP and the rest of the New Orleans Saints became world champions and Mr. Brees has now been so gracious as to teach fans exactly what he says in the huddle.

Brees visited Guantanamo Bay in the offseason and spent time with many of the soldiers stationed there and in other areas. His chant was inspired by the U.S. Marines he visited there and decided to incorporate it into his pre-game pep talk. This is knowledge we've all known since earlier this season, but Brees always said he was going to keep the chant secret. Guess he's had a change of heart.

NOLA.com got a hold of video of Drew Brees at Lucy's bar when he taught fans exactly what is said and how to do it.


When I say 1, you say 2. When I say win, you say for you. ... 1! 2! Win! For you!

When I say 3, you say 4. When I say win, you say some more. ... 3! 4! Win! Some more!

When I say 5, you say 6. When I say win, you say for kicks. ... 5! 6! Win! For kicks!

When I say 7, you say 8. When I say win, you say it's great. ... 7! 8! Win! It's great!

When I say 9, you say 10. When I say win, you say again. ... 9! 10! Win! Again!

Win! Again! Win! Again! Win! Again! Win! Again!

The first video shows Brees pumping up his teammates before a game and the second is him finally teaching the fans how it's all done.

Neat guy - Amzingly intense & seems to be a truely good, kind, decent human being.

I wish the news would spend as much time on Drew as they do Peyton Manning or Tiger (I've got) Wood

I love this chant! I get pumped up, listening to Drew chant before every game.

He makes me so proud to be a Saints fan... and a woman! ;)

Drew Brees is my hero. And i really expect his performance in upcoming '10 season.
