For those who have gotten "the call" from the ticket office
 

Relax...you may be out of tickets for this year, but by the start of next year they will add 3500 new seats in other sections. whoever got canned on the tickets for this year will get better seats at pretty much the same price. I would use the season ticket money to upgrade my home entertainment system and then be back in the dome with a better seat a year from now. Just felt like sharing that...i know alot of people are in freak out mode.:bng:

Well I am pleased you are happy Speedy Ron.
If you are really saying that some ST will be without seats for a year then many will be choked not continuing their ritual of going to games regular - and that is in a year when they are THE CHAMPIONS too.
Where are they going to put them extra seats? Must be taking inches off the width of existing ones; you know like changing plane business class for economy?????

they are adding a few rows at the top of the loge where the press boxes are now, and they are redoing the plaza level seating at the sidelines. i work for a general contractors and we just bid the job...thats how i know. it will be done in phases. they are also filling in the open space between the plaza concourse and old seating and making more restrooms, consessions, redoing all the entrances, new flooring throughout the dome, new suites, new locker rooms, and 2 new clubs under the plaza level (mainly for players family)

the majority of the new seats will come when the add about 10 new rows to the plaza level

You can bump your head even now on the handicap row 33 of the Plaza. I'm sure though, if there is a will there is a way.

I know I would be having a stroke right now if someone told me that after two decades of misery, I wasn't going to be able to watch them unfurl the Super Bowl banner. Something needs to be done to enable those who lost their tickets to be there for that, even if it's standing room only somewhere.

I am one of the unlucky ones. I got the call yesterday from the ticket office. While he did not mention them adding 3500 seats he did assure me that there was a very good chance I'd be able to get seats somewhere else for next season. So I'm not that worried about whether I'll be in the dome next year. The thing that hurts the most about this all is that we had a group of about 15 friends that all bought tickets together 10 years ago. Now, obviously we'll never be able to all sit together again. Really hard to get over.
