I saw them games...bro...and i blame some of that on coaching...We knew Bushrod was over matched...once some adjustments were made ..he was better...So what do you think about Browns knees..would this be a good time to unload him?..

im just wondering why the **** the coaches would tell bushrod to screw up so bad

..We knew Bushrod was over matched...once some adjustments were made ..he was better..
he was better because it wasnt just him blocking the DE.....that doesnt make him better.....thats acknowledging a weakness and prioritizing it

the coaches knew he was a weak link and made adjustments to fix the leak

.So what do you think about Browns knees..would this be a good time to unload him?..
brown has had a rough stretch but really he has played in at least 15 games each season from 2006 to 2008......the only real injury he has sustained that kept him out of play was the one this season

lots of players go down for the whole season and come back the next season just fine.....on the other hand lots of players go down and are never the same again

but i feel like brown will be fine......he is tough.....he is an elite talent at the LT position and despite what many people consider an injury history, he has been relatively healthy over his 5 year career and there shouldnt be any concern going forward with his health

to answer your question.....NO.....you dont "unload" a pro bowl LT in the prime of his career

of course......its the nature of the position

the issue lies in the times that the LT doesnt get help

he needs to be able to hold his own and he needs to not rely solely on the help he is getting

brown faces the same competition that bushrod faced....yet we do not offer anywhere near as much assistance for him because he doesnt need it

whereas, bushrod does need that help

he is fine when he gets help....but do we really want an offense hindered by one player because he cant do his job all by himself?

all the formations.....all the plays we HAVE to run because we need extra protection on 1 side

shouldnt we be the ones dictating where our protection comes from and which side we want the RB to come out of the backfield and which safety or LB we want our TEs lined up against?

we cant do that if our protection is always strong left

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?

In answer to the original question, NO! Brown will lead us in sacks this year with 10 and tackles on the d line with 60. Go AB!

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?

My point is simply this...if we had our same offense from last year and upgraded out D line to a top 5 D line our team would be better than keeping the same D line and slightly upgrading at LT. we have more of a need at DT than at LT. I think Hellen Keller could see this
