Saints re-signed restricted free agent OT Jermon Bushrod to a one-year, $1.684 million contract.
Though he dealt with inconsistency down the stretch, Bushrod's rapid development in filling in for injured LT Jammal Brown was a key to the Saints' dream season. He'll return as valuable Brown insurance again in 2010.:bng:

I linke Stinch but do ya'll think Bushrod could be an upgrade at RT down the line?

Stinch signed a pretty nice 5 year deal last year, so not sure he'd be going anywhere

seems like 3-4 years ago we were saying the same things (inconsistency) about Stinch that we are about Bushrod now, so the future looks bright

Agreed. I will admit that I was one of those that wasn't too sure about Stinchcomb a couple of years ago, but he has put up a couple of very solid seasons in a row. At least we know if something happens to Brown or Stinchcomb, we have good depth in replacing them.
