there isnt another player in the NFL that gets that much love for being so terribly awful

Why am I not surprised by this? Unless it's about Jammal Brown, Aaron Stecker, or Terrence Cody it's *****, *****, *****. Calling Bushrod terrible is almost laughable. It was his first season as a starter in the NFL, coming out of a very small school where we knew he'd take a long time to develop. In his first season he helped his team win a Super Bowl. It certainly wasn't a perfect first season, but it wasn't terrible by any means. He struggled for a streak in the latter part of the season, but he played pretty well in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. In fact he gave up no sacks in the Arizona game, none in the Vikings game, and one against Dwight Freeney (who is pretty good).

Thank you for continuing to add such value to conversations. Maybe if I start a thread called "Aaron Stecker: the greatest, hardest working, most talented, super duper marginal role player in history" we can really get some discussion going.
