Patrick Robinson

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I just think, that after the year we just had, we should put our faith into our coaching staff, and front office. They obviously know what they are doing, or we woulldn't be superbowl champs. I like the pick....

I'm still trying to justify this pick, but I'm starting to wrap my brain around it more, and I completely understand why the Saints chose him after reading up on the guy. I don't think it was necessarily a bad pick, I just don't know if he was the best option.

I still will not doubt Peyton, Loomis, and Co., though. If they feel that Pat Rob was the best option, then I'm on board with it.
I remember looking at my dad a few years ago after a draft pick all be it later in the rounds and saying Who from Where?

The answer : Colston , From Hofstra. We find gems where others dont look.
I dont like the pick but am working hard to convince myself. We do need corners probably the biggest need area on our team.

Re: Patrick Robinson

Looks like Sharper won't be back. With all of the needs at LB and DT, I don't see how we could pass on Sergio Kindle (couldn't believe he was still there), Brian Price, or even Terrance Cody. I'd be willing to trade next year's 1st rounder to move up for Kindle and take Cam Thomas with our 2nd rounder. We'd be set.

Yeah but I heard Mayock make that Statement about Haden when he was picked at 7, then repeat it about Kyle wilson at 29. I think he ran out of things to say. He also said Robinson never played the same week to week!

No way any one on this board can say this was a good pick with Kindle and Griffin still on the board!!!! This is stupid...I just woke up...and i'm still as pissed as when i went to bed!!!!!

If Kindle turns out to be what he should... We got duped!!!!!

Re: Patrick Robinson

Can't teach speed. Kid is FAST. Our offense puts up 30+ points per game. That's not going to change. Teams have to pass the ball to try and keep up. Good luck with that now. Robinson has shut down written all over him.

By the way Mel Kiper has a second round mock out now. Here's who he has us taking in the second round:

New Orleans Saints Nate Allen, S, South Florida
Depth to replace likely-departed Darren Sharper.

Scouts Inc has us selecting the following:

32 (64) New Orleans Saints Navorro Bowman OLB Penn State

31 (95) New Orleans Saints Greg Hardy DE Mississippi

I absolutely love this pick. Cornerback is the hardest to fill position in the NFL. We were getting smoked when Porter and Greer were out. The cornerback is the most vital position in the Gregg Williams defensive scheme. There is a reason why five CB's went in the first round.
