Go ahead Brooks-a-philes, explain that little factoid to me.

Enlighten us all about how Brooks is SO superior to Peyton Manning. :casstet:

I'm dying to know, somebody fill me in, cause I'm sure sick of hearing what I heard tonight, "Brooks is the future of this team." :casstet: :casstet:

Oh and is it just me or is anyone else getting the queasy feeling like watching a school bus stalled on the train tracks about the Carolina game next week? :(

Pseudo Billy post :

Brooks is superior to Peyton because he is more mobile , forget the fact he cannot read a defense and has to spend most of his time running for his life , he is just becoming a better athlete .

Bouman looked to have more mobility than Brooks.

Hard to evaluate, Bouman was playing against Indy\'s scout team by that time.

As much as I hate to admit it - because there has been a lot to like about Brooks the past couple of years - it may indeed be time for a change at QB.

BUT, with the defense as sorry as it is, none of our QB\'s will have much of a chance unless McCarthy opens up the offense from the starting whistle and calls plays like we\'re already 20 points down. That \"ball control\" oriented offense is killing us.

Funny how BMG and I have been saying this for weeks, only to be called \"stupid\" and \"laughable\". Now, everyone sees what we have been seeing for quite some time. Right on BMG, Brooks must go!

O-Dog, do you believe that we will be a better unit offensively with Todd Bouman at the helm? Would the mistakes made by Brooks, if Bouman never made them, be enough to win those games? I firmly doubt it.
In another season, with another system, then I would agree with that, but for this year if our plan is to win games then we need to open the offense up and run spread formations and play an attacking defense that very well may give up many big plays, but makes a few too. I will agree that if we play that style of defense, that Bouman will give us likely as good of a shot as Brooks to succeed as he has a great arm and may be better at checking down and not have option 1 for 6 seconds before moving to the 2 man. I\'m not opposed to seeing Bouman have a shot. The shake up may be beneficial for this team, but you BMG and 08 would like nothing better than to sit back and say \"I told you\" like giggly schoolgirls. And I have no doubt that should Bouman come in and we lose even worse, not that I think that is possible, that you will be posting comments about how Brooks ruined this team for anyone else to succeed. He is part of the problem, and I haven\'t heard anyone other than 08 admit that there are other problems. Your posts all focus on Brooks. Perhaps they should rope him on the sidelines and hoist him up before the team and that should do it.

Excuse me, but isn\'t Delhomme in his first season at Carolina? Didn\'t Blake do well here his first year? Don\'t give me that, man. We need a change at qb if not just for a spark. Bouman at least doesn\'t sit on the sideline and laugh when we\'re getting blown out. Bouman sure didn\'t have a problem relieving Culpepper two years ago. BTW, Ferotte seemed to do pretty well in relief of Culpepper. Bouman deserves a shot, he certainly couldn\'t do any worse. PERIOD!
