Wouldn't that be funny if it WERE like San Diego versus TAmpa... Heh heh heh.... I was going to say two dome teams, but i couldn't think of an AFC team that plays in a dome. I don't think there is one, is there?

You know what? I hate Reliant. That retractable roof is useless. You cant see anything. If you want a view and the outdoors, lets play in historic, awesome Rice Stadium.

Reliant is a morgue, dark, boring, and corporate. While the Superdome has 72,000 raging coonazzes who's lives are directly affected by how the Saints play, Reliant is filled with "clients," who are only there because a colleague left some extra tickets at the office. Boudreaux has watched and cried over the Saints since he was 7, sitting on his paw paws rug. Executive-boy moved from Los Angeles to open a new branch office last year. Its a nice diversion, but he'll probably leave early, regardless of the score to go home to Katy and eat at TGIFridays.

But thats the fans. What the hell shape is Reliant supposed to be? It looks like an unfinished kids erector set project. That greeny glass is all cute and trendy, but it also has a tin roof. Its stupid looking.

The parking lot covers 3 counties, and according to Texas law, has the option to form its own separate state. DB Cooper is living in the Reliant complex under an assumed name. New scriptures reveal the Jewish people were actually wandering in the desert 44 years, because they were trying to park at Reliant, and had no clue how to navigate the "yellow," "orange," or "green" lots.

Its dark & depressing inside, and the seats are boring: death blue & pale red. The Astrodome had an amazing distinctive rainbow, and a special shade of light, that when you saw any shot of it on tv, you knew where it was. It had a roar, a smell, and a feel. The Superdome has boogers. (in the rural American meaning) As much as we love it, there is a distinct boogery feeling, even before the Storm, because of the souls trapped under its foundation. Ask Brett Favre. The boogers only recently started helping us. But Reliant? Zero flavor. It doesnt even smell like anything, much less taste.

And the P.A. is way too loud. You cant even talk to someone in the concourse. Of course, if it wasnt, all you'd hear is executives on their cellphone, or whatever sound BlackBerries make.

Classic stadiums had brick walls in the endzone, rolled up tarps, baseball dirt, bushy hedges, etc. Reliant, and all new stadiums have ... more advertising. I even hate the name Reliant. Stadiums should be named for dead people or fruit.

Mostly, I hate Reliant because its not the Astrodome, which I love. There wasnt a damn thing wrong with the Astrodome.

i second that. they really don't know what kind of debacle they could be getting into. there going to believe a weatherman at this time for a feb. game possibly. hope for the best. is it going to be a walk from time sq.? or a 20 to 30 min ride from down town. you can't beat new orleans .

I'm going to make an early prediction...
36 degrees at kickoff, 30 by the end of the game. 1 1/2" of rain, turning to freezing rain during the game. The halftime show will be cancelled due to electrocution hazzard. The people with the money (the ones who pay $20,000 - $30,000 dollars a ticket will be so p***ed off, that they will use whatever stroke they have with the media to get future games changed, and the Superbowl will never be played in a cold weather environment again.

Just a prediction.

None of the above. A superbowl anywhere outside of the states would be a slap in the face of all the fans. U.S. Fans pay the bills.

The point is that the Super Bowl generates millions for the hosting city. No way the NFL gives that money to Toronto or London or Mexico City

That is a great prediction, and it will be so, Hulka.

On that note, I am officially for the New York Super Bowl, because I see 3 upsides.

1. All the potential misery this could cause all the VIP's, bigshots, dignitaries, celebrities---all the dipthongs that have hijacked our Super Bowl. priceless! Celebrities, particularly will be pained if they have to wear so much clothing they cant be recognized. They'll walk down concourses with no one to flash pictures and fuss over them. I'd love it.

2. The whole stupid ridiculous overblown Up With People (dating myself there, but its always the visual for me) /500 Rockettes dancing, Laser Light show and Halftime Extravaganza might be cancelled.

3. not to mention all the alterations to the Official Pregame Hypefest Carnival, Livestock Show, & Circus. People with no more concern other than self-promotion might decide to stay home and drink hot cocoa.

---which could potentially leave the Super Bowl as nothing but a football game to decide the champions of the NFL.

Wouldnt that be great?
