He's not even number 2 or 3, for that matter.

The following is a quick list of the top Saints QB's, IMHO.

#1 Drew Brees, a couple of more SB's and we can mention him in the same breath as Joe Montana.
#2 Archie Manning, great QB on team with really bad defenses
#3 Bobby Hebert, he gave us our best years before Brees despsite the not so clutch interceptions at crunch time.
#4 Jim Everett, our first decent QB after Archie
#5 Billy Kilmer, yeah he was old by the time he got to us
#6 Ken Stabler, he was at the tail end of his career too
#7 Aaron Brooks, Haslett kept him in there way too long and should have started Delhomme. Padded numbers pressure opinions to move him up undeservedly.
#8 All the rest of them

Here's the entire history of starting Saints QB's for those who are interested.

This list is kinda confusing..Bobby gave us our best before Brees?..then Everett was a our first decent QB after Archie?...you lost me brother... Brooks has better stats than all of them except Brees...and he won us our first playoff..being a Saints fan that means a lot...lol

Some not so recent media reports on Brooks.

Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks has arm, will travel | NOLA.com

Aaron Brooks
"note here 26 fumbles lost and 92 intercetions" in case anyone has forgotten.
Average QB rating of....hold on to something now...... 78.5! Yooohoooo!

great stats are only a piece of the HOF make-up... look at baseball's homeroun kings

I voted NO. We are becoming a team that will have legitimate HOF guys in the next 10 years. Let's not cheapen our HOF by just picking 'good' players for the sake of filling up the room. When we are inducting Brees, Vilma, Colston, Evans, PT, and maybe Shockey and Sharper, will we want to see the Brooks plaque hanging there also? next to Kilmer's??

Raise the standard
