At the expense of sounding like a "wise-guy", which I'm not trying to be...well, maybe a little...but, anyway...could I have the Cliff Notes version? Seriously.

At THIS point he is not worth SJ money. We all know that. Why do teams pay (& athletesd expect) for what happened LAST year?

I agree that PT shoud make more money - Hands down. I can see 2.5 million (amybe even a little more).

The teams & players are out of touch with reality. If he gets a million dollars more he has almost doubled his pay from last year.

How many of us wouldn't kill for that? Even though it owuld be no where near a million for most of us.

Now look, I love PT like no tomorrow, and he is a vital part of the Saints. But, Steven Jackson kind of money, lets get real. If this article is true, look for a very long hold out. JMO

Or a trade. No way he gets that. show me 16+ games in one year and 1400 yards, 10 tds and he can have it.
8/21/2008: Steven Jackson Signed a six-year, $44.805 million contract. come on PT!
NO WAY! =7.4675 a year.

How silly to ask for around 8 million a year with his stats as low as they are. I don't know where he would pull those figures from (for starters)? Jeeesh! What team in there right mind would pay such exaggerated figures towards such a shared workload. What does he take the Saints for "suckers"? I mean to tell 'ya.

Everybody knows that salaries are based off of your draft status and your potential, not what have actually proven to be capable of.

I think we should all get vocal, write a petition to the F.O. and threaten all the fans respect at the risk of witnessing such a crime on our beloved organization.

Thanks for lowering yourself down to the high-school level and not address my questions but take the time to point out my run-on sentence rants and all ;)
