Deuce McAllister is averaging 76-yards per game. This is totally unaccecptable. I think Deuce needs to be benched and Ki Jana Carter needs to play. This could be just the spark this offense needs. We all know how important the running game is. The running game makes play action passes so much more effective. If we had a running back that could average more than 76-yards per game this offense would be SO much better.

What happened to Deuce? Was he just a one year wonder? Maybe it's Aaron Brooks fault?

Might have more to do with bringing on all these lineman that are good at pass blocking.

I guess maybe we were planning to have more of a passing game this year? Oh well, it\'s a tough life Duece, you\'ll have to carry the offense behind guys who really aren\'t known for their run blocking.

Shouldn\'t we give Ki Jana Carter a chance? Before it\'s too late? What would it hurt? This offense needs a spark. Let\'s face it. For whatever reason, Deuce just isn\'t getting it done.

I\'m actually all for this. I think the idea has real merit.

We get some major benefits from putting Ki-Jana in:
1. We put enormous pressure on Brooks to carry the team. We all know he\'ll fold quicker and then we trade him away. I see no downside here.

2. We don\'t risk Duece. Why play our team MVP for a guy who can\'t get it done? Why risk career ending injury to future hall of famer over a guy who doesn\'t realize that linebacker coming up to the line is going to clean his clock? Losing Duece would be a genuine tragedy for this team and if there are only so many hits a body can take, why not save some of those hits for partnering with a QB who actually knows how to win?

Yep -- This team sucks so bad, they should sit every starter that is worh a damn. How many players do we have that could start for other teams? As bad as this team sucks, it ain\'t many. It\'s gonna be fun to talk about how much the Saints suck this year. I can\'t wait to they lose their next game so we can come to B&G and point out all the areas they suck in. See there is a bright side to everthing.

We need a leader on here for the \"Saints Sucks\" forum. I nominate either BMG or DOG.

I don\'t think the Saints suck, I think Haslett has misplaced confidence in Aaron Brooks to be a team leader.

David Carr is more important to his team after 1 season than Brooks is here after 3. I\'m just tired of hearing the \"Brooks needs time to develop\" business. I\'d think he\'d already be developed by now. But I would be mightily torqued off for Duece to go down.

I love me some Saints, don\'t like some Aaron Brooks so much.

Absolutely !! If Aaron wasn\'t the QB we would be winning right now. Haslett has to be the most STUPID coach ever for not seeing that Brooks is a cancer to this team. Any QB could get this offense to score 25 or 30 points per game. Everyone talks about this offenive line being bad, but it\'s one of the TOP lines in the league. And blaming the recievers for dropping ball is REDICULOUS. The receivers have played damn near perfect. I have seen with my own eyes all the mistakes Brooks has made. Brooks has made more mistakes than ANYONE on the team. Get rid of Aaron and this team WILL start winning. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT....

I think that the Tennessee game was very winnable if our qb could have read the defense and kept the offense on the field.

I think the Seattle game was probably a toss up, but winnable.

The Colts game would have required a power running game and we traded all those linemen away.

It\'s very nice of you not to pin the losses of Tenn. and Seattle on Brooks. But, the FACT is we would have won those games, if not for Brooks. His ability not to audilble stalled a lot of drives.

The main thing is Brooks just isn\'t a leader. It\'s OBVIOUS that if we had someone like Peyton Manning that this talented offensive line would play better for him. Peyton would raise everyone\'s game and the problems on offense would be a thing of the past. Anyone who doesn\'t see that is a damn fool.

That\'s not it at all BMG. Great minds think alike. I\'ve just been kidding about Brooks. Did you really think I was that STUPID?? lol... Give me a little credit. All Haslett has to do is put in Bouman and we will all be proved right. All of you just wait and see how many points this offense scores when Bouman is put in. Where Haslett really screwed up at is getting rid of a future PROBOWL player in Jake Delhomme. Imagine what kind of offense we would have if Jake were here......

I\'ts a sad day on this board when the #1 optimist, cheerleader, and Brooks P.R. man, Billy C becomes a turncoat. Has he been drinking or is he just being facetious?

Football games more often than not are won in the trenches. That means the line play on both sides of the ball. The Saints are just not winning the battle up front on offense or defense. There has been constant pressure on Brooks in the passing game and not a crack of daylight for Deuce in the running game. Bench Deuce or Brooks? Are you NUTS? These two guys are the best two players on the team! We haven\'t seen either of them have a performance yet up to their own standards. With better play from the rest of the team the Saints would not be sitting at 1-3. The season is still young. Even with the injuries to the defense there is still hope.

Give Deuce a hole or even a crease to get past the line and he will dominate the game. Give Brooks the time to throw and he will make them. 75% of the season still remains.
