Vuvuzela at Saints games

The World Cup has given me an idea that perhaps there should be an additional noise maker we should employ at home games to distract opponents like the Viqueens. What you ask? Why VUVUZELA's, of course!

We could certainly make black and gold ones. Strato, can you blow one of these and play "the Saints are Marching in"?

I hate those things and it would be awful to hear that crap in the NFL.

Please NO!!! By all the stars in heaven, do not taint the wonderful atmosphere that is the Superdome with those dull, monotone instruments of ear-torture! They are the most awful things ever and far from adding to atmosphere, they take it away by being all you can hear. NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!! Atmosphere is made with people. It wouldn't even be so bad if they played some sort of tune, but they don't. By my post you may have guessed that I am not too keen on them.

I hear ya ... but instead of screaming our lungs out, it'd be easier to make noise with these things while Brett is attempting an audible or something..... the Vikings' home field IS notorious for an amplification system intended to make additional noise to affect an opponent. It'd be another home field advantage tool.

No way a vuvu-whatever would survive in a city with so much rich musical heritage. I'd rather hear more New Orleans Jazz horns -

like Trombone Shorty

Or Rebirth Brass Band

Branford Marsalis

Or even this Horn!!

The Dome is already as loud as it needs to be. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've noticed more and more prominent "new orleans music" being pumped at the dome. And I like it!! It's like our own music/home field adv...

Even the national tv stations are "playing our song" when they cut to commercial.

Nothing is more N.O. than the food, music and culture. And to be able to hear it in the dome is what separates us from team who play crap like "we will, we will ROCK you.." (okay that's old as dirt, but you get the point) :p

I have one of those things. Kind of hard to learn how to blow correctly.
Imagine if they handed out one to the first 10,000 people at the dome. LOL

They sound like a Hornet's nest and may be better used at the New Orleans Hornets games.

76... is your avatar a brunette? Have her turn over.

I think you're unknowingly making my point. Brett and Jared will hate it even more.... I think FF has a great idea..... hand out 50000 free ones before the game.
