With the exception of FF's choice of Erx, you guys aren't going back too far. Maybe y'all are just too young to remember people like Erxleben, Les Kelley (RB in college, but since he can't run, we will make him a LB), Shawn Knight (the big & slow & soft DT), Larry Burton (he's not a track star who plays football, he's a football player who runs track), & Rick Middleton (not even the best LB on his college team, but we picked him in the 1st round).

There were a lot of bad players long before David & Sullivan came around. I really want to forget about all those guys.

Right on, HouYat ... you could probably name 11 really bad former players and field a team ... not the Dream Team, mind you, but the Nightmare Team!

The worst pick was the one that was never made.

The expansion Saints sent their No. 1 pick to the Baltimore Colts for QB Gary Cuozzo, a quiet, 26-year-old dental student who had spent his previous four years as Johnny Unitas's backup. Cuozzo started the first 13 games, throwing for 1,562 yards and seven touchdowns with 12 interceptions, before losing his job to Billy Kilmer. The party ended after the season when Cuozzo was traded to the Minnesota Vikings.

In exchange for Cuozzo the Colts got center Bill Curry and the first pick of the draft.

QUESTION: Who did Baltimore pick with the 1st pick of the 1967 draft?

Hint: He went on to a All Pro career and acting career and helped Baltimore reach two Super Bowls.

US OLD GUYS REMEMBER WHO IT IS.

Re: Who's your worst Saints ever.

Russell "BLUNDERFOOT" Erxleben
"STUPID MARIO" Bates
Ray "I AINT NO FULLBACK" Zellars
Johnathan "PSST, HUGGA-HUGGA-HUGGA-HUH", MISSING FAT BOYS MEMBER" Sullivan
Shawn "YAWN" Knight
Jason (In Dan Forden's MK voice) "TOASTEE!!" David
Kelvin "BUTTERFINGERS" Edwards
Chip "WIDE TO THE RIGHT" Lohmiller
Ernie "FLAT TIRE" Wheelwright
Keno "HUMAN TURNSTILE" Hills

"DA COACH!!" (He mortgaged a entire season by selling the farm for a dude who (as Colin Cowherd once said about him) 'lights up a bong and listens to Foghat.

That's a start for the full eleven ... we need to field an entire team ...

J David's lack of ability to play man put him at a disadvantage - he shouldn't have been out there to begin with...

Josh Bullocks just a below average player.

Sullivan was a bad draft pick. Period.

My worst Saint is Mike Ditka. That infamous draft cost a team more that one season - it took the organization several seasons to recover from that debacle...

Ding ding ding......we have a winner! I'm still mad at most of those players and coaches who brought those freakin' losers to our Saints. :argue:

My first guess on this was Bert Jones, but I thought it seemed the draft was a little before his time, and I didn't remember him doing any acting except for an old Miller Lite commercial. I had to google it to find out that it was Moses Hightower...aka Bubba Smith.
