Will Brett Favre be back to face the Saints on opening day?

Not yet at least. But there is a really strong chance he will be back and playing again. Although that bum ankle could keep him from returning.

Old number 4 (and I do mean old), Brett Favre hasn't yet announced if he will be returning for another season in the NFL to step into the role of starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. But any of us that have been paying attention to football or the world in the past five years know better. Fans of the New Orleans Saints are sitting idly by and not really caring if he comes back or not, but we are curious as to who will get.......

Same rerun. I knew after the NFCCG when he said that it was "highly doubtful" that he'd return that he would be back for the following season.

I really don't think he'll be back..he knows that there is no way his body can take anymore punishment without long term health effects. Last season was his best in the NFL. As much as he wants to top that ,,Brett Farve will eventually come to a realization that his physical limitations will be an impediment and there fore accept it and eventually hang up his helmet for good.

You guys know I've been saying he's done since the NFCCG. I've always said it and I stand by it. It has taken this long for him to half ass recoverfrom the last time he faced the Saints. Can you imagine him trying to make that recovery in one week? I don't think he'll be back.

Thats an interesting perspective, i really hadn't thought about tbh, Its taken him nearly 6 months to only half recover from the NFC championship game. No doubt we would be as physical in the opening game as we were in that game, so favre would not be able to get ready for a game the following week.

I agree with diamond, ice and everyone.
What is it with Farve and that "coming back, maybe, wait and see game."
We know Bret, stupidly, is coming back to his team and the NFL. I could care less if the man likes the feeling of being out of sorts and likes his eyes to roll back in his head.
What is my concern is that he will play his first game with the Saints and when they Saints tackle him or pressure him in his play, some will say how vicious and unsportmans like the Saints are for tackling the guy. What are they supposed to do? Blow him a kiss!! Let his complete his plays. NFL is a contact sport. Because Bret is too old to be out there , has had a great career and is too stupid to realize that,I do not want the Saints to get any bad press for tackling Farve or pressuring him to throw the ball.

if he does come back all he will do is hand it to a.p. will an occasional dump off to a.p. the queens won't risk the season on the first game. he will be battered if he wants to make it a shoot out.

if thats the case then a.p will pretty much set the record for most fumbles in a game, ball will be on the ground "all day" lol

I think he will be back. Im just tired of this same song and dance every year. Its called class, have some. I could never see Drew doing something like this every year.

Let Favre come back. Hell see what we did to him last year. Imagine what we could do to him in the first game of the season. He will be rusty and all we have to do is hit him like we did last year during the NFC Championship game. Pants on the ground, pants on the Ground, We gonna leave Favre with his pants on the ground... GEAUX SAINTS
