New Orleans Saints' Gregg Williams ripe for picking when teams raid staff

Gregg Williams was a picture of contentment Wednesday night.

Rested and relaxed, skin bronzed from a summer of golf, he was Tommy Bahama cool as he worked an overflow crowd at a fundraiser for his foundation.

This, of course, won't last long. Come next Friday when the New Orleans Saints open training camp, he'll disappear in a phone booth and emerge as the intense, full-metal-jacket hell-raiser Saints fans have come to know and love.

Williams reminds me of Dick LeBeau, Norv Turner, Dave Wanndstedt, Dom Capers, Romeo Crennel, Charlie Weis, Scott Linehan...

Solid assistants/coordinators who didn't have it in their genes to be head coaches...

Greg Williams maybe Tommy Bahama now. But soon he will transform into that guy who motivates his defense, to give them that aggressive nature that we need. Something was mentioned about Gruden. That would be a good fit if Williams was to leave us. But until then, Let The Bodies hit the floor. GEAUX SAINTS
