jeffduncantp Every player on the roster has reported to camp except of course unsigned 1st-round draft pick Patrick Robinson.

jeffduncantp Payton on Patrick Ramsey: "He's in good shape. He ran well today. I've spoken to coaches who had a lot of good things to say about him."

jeffduncantp Loomis said DE Jimmy Wilkerson is healthy and ready to go for training camp.

jeffduncantp Payton was reticent to single out individuals, but mentioned M.Jenkins, S.Arnoux & J.Dunbar as players who excelled during the offseason.

jeffduncantp Payton said the backup QBS (Ramsey & Daniel), Thomas Morstead & Lance Moore will get work at holder on place kicks to replace Mark Brunell.

jeffduncantp Payton thinks the team's improved depth will help improve special teams. He wants a core of young players to play on all teams, if possible.

jeffduncantp Payton: "At the time, there was no plans (to bring back McCray). It wasn't because something happened to one of our other defensive ends."

jeffduncantp Payton said the club has installed newer, softer artificial turf in the team's indoor facility, same as they use at the Superdome.

I'm thinking that Morestead will get a long look there since he is used to catching the long snap.
