Who the pressure is on in the NFC

I've seen a few articles about why the Saints won't be repeating this year, mostly from PFT and it seems that the media just doesn't get our culture.

I think the Saints are in an outstanding position and have only a fraction of the pressure on them than they ever have in the past. The Superbowl win allieviated pressure on the Saints, not vice versa.

In the NFC I see the most pressure on:

1) The Cowboys. No team that played in the HoF game has ever won the SB. There is a potential powder keg develpoing already. Add Jerry's expectations of being the first SB champ at home and these guys are in it big.

2) The Vikings. Their team has downgraded and the expectations are higher. Their secondary is depleted and that does not bode well for their D which puts more pressure on Favre which could lead to a lot of INTs.

I say we are about where the Falcons, Redskins, and Eagles are and, with our team getting better, we may actually sneak up on people again this year even though we are the champs. We stay healthy and it's on. :bng:

I don't recall any of the "pundits" saying that the Patriots were a lucky team when they beat the "Greatest Show On Turf" Rams in the Superbowl by 3 points. The Pats lost their first two games that regular season, and had to have the "Tuck Rule" on Brady to just make it to the big dance. They weren't lucky? They didn't get a gift from the officials? Ask the Raiders about that.

Why is it that it's perfectly OK for other teams to be lucky, and get help in the form of blown calls by the zebras, but it's not OK for that to happen to the Saints? Inquiring minds want to know.

It is because the Patriots are in ESPNs back yard.

Even after winning the Superbowl, we're flying under radar.

Payton's a genious.

In the NFC the pressure is on the Cowboys, Giants, Eagles and 49er's...

For the Cowboys, Jerry is ready to blow; and don't think that the Saints winning the Superbowl and Jerry letting Sean Payton geaux is eating at 'em; especially with Payton drinking up his favorite wine...

For the Giants, New Yorkers can't understand their is a universe outside of their town; and they will eat their own (turn on Eli) to they have a Superbowl trophy...

I think Andy Reid thought he was buying himself some time by switching and developing a new QB; Philly fans are the worse @$$holes you'll ever meet at games and they are ready to explode; even when they got their wish and got rid of McNabb...

The 49'ers fans feel like the parts are in place and weren't happy with taking a step back last season (even though Kurt Warner played so well as to cement his bust in Canton); I think they'll be some heat on Singletary to win the division with the Cardinal sans Warner...
