This has nothing to do directly with the bet I made but does have lots to do with one poster on this board and the editing practices of the moderator. Part of my reason for the bet was to get a break from the nonsense on the board since May.

I just don't see the point of posting on here if others are just going to spill their trash just to be antagonistic. It's old and its no longer informative coming to this site.

Joesam, this use to be a fun site to come to where people could respectfully share their opinions about the saints. There was no need for a bunch of editing and the information and ideas shared were good reading. That has changed.

The beauty of being a saints fan is that there are so many other sites that do not allow people like Billie on it. I'll pop on here when I have the urge to kick a rag doll around but for the most part I would rather read the post on other boards. I'll be sure to referr more people like billy over to this board for you joesam.

Your a wild and funny guy FWtex. You posts things on here and it\'s like reading the National Enquirer !! You therorize on the inner working of the Saints organization like you sit in on the meetings. Do you really expect not to get called out on these things? No one else might not, but I will everytime!! You go around telling everyone that most of the Saints players have quit on this season, when they played their best game last week. If it bothers you that I call you out on this, then you are either too sensitive or your just so convinced that you are right, that you can\'t believe that anyone would question you.

Now, as far as the antagonmisim goes -- Look Mr. FWtex, you need to go back and read your own posts before talking about me. That\'s a 2 way street my friend. I think your just upset that I disagree with the majority of your posts and I corner you on them and you don\'t know how to respond.

Guys, and this is for everybody, stop talking about each other and start talking about football. Arguments are fun, but people do take things personally when insults are thrown. Everyone can take a tamer, more logical argumentative tone or we can make this board policed like others where there are several mods and we throw out and ban members for saying things not too politically correct.

We want this board to be fun. Personal attacks and rants are not always fun.

Talk about FOOTBALL, stick to talking about FOOTBALL, this is not a drama board for girls.... TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL.

I think JoeSam has done a great job. Even though he\'s a edited a few of my posts, I don\'t get bent out of shape for it. Any more policing around here and I\'m out completely.

Joe, I\'ve been on some forums that allow you to \"ignore\" posts by people you find offensive. When you select them their posts never even show up on your screen.

Does this forum have that option and if not can we get it?

I too have found a certain member to be a hostile idiot and would like to block their drivel from my view, and its not Mr Billy Carpenter either. There are several members here I thoroughly enjoy reading and agreeing/disagreeing with. I\'d hate to see them leave this board.

Welcome to the cyber world .

Awhile back I encounter one of these server storage facility sites . 100 square foot rooms , with white walls and a door . My first impression is , it looks like a sanitarium with padded personal rooms .There were about 20 rooms in this section and each one of these rooms was filled with server equipment stacked from floor to ceiling .

I wander into one of these rooms to find a 140 lb. computer nerd , pencil protector and all . His job was to be in that room , incase something happened to the site . He spent his free time on the internet somewhere with the call name Steel ***** do not remember the second half of the name .

I asked the guy what was up with that Steel **** name , do you have a steel pin in your legg or something ?? I walked away laughing at him , questioning his false identity .

Point is that there are people like this one , in these cyber cells as I like to call them , who do nothing all day but sit in cyber ville and look at blank walls . They use these forums to reach out for human contact and post to stir their own emotions , they like to mess with people who post just to draw some emotion into their sad and pathetic world .They are cyber leaches looking to suck some emotion into their sanitized environment .

Simply put .

I think we all have a different view of what would make this boad perfect. To me, it would be sticking to things that a relevant to the Saints or the Saints season. Or, at least related to the NFL. Instead I don\'t get all my wishes and there are things that are posted on here I could care less about. Well, so what !! Everyone doesn\'t think like me.

I don\'t particularly like when some members constantly bash the Saints or write this team off. To me, that\'s not a true fan. That\'s just my opinion and always will be. If me questioning someone\'s loyalty to this teams bothers them, then you shouldn\'t be on a football forum. It doesn\'t bother me when someone says I\'m a fool for believing that the Saints are going to do anything this year and why would it? It also wouldn\'t bother me if someone questioned my loyalty to the Saints. I know me better than anyone else. If anyone is so sensitive that they get there feelings hurt that easily, it makes me wonder how they fuction out in the real world !!

Also, for some of the members here who THINK I\'m going around attacking other members. I don\'t know what you\'ve been reading on here, but that\'s far from the truth. Do I engage in SOME trash talking? You bet !! But, it usually isn\'t started by me !! And I could care less if some folks want to beleive that or not. I know what I say and what I don\'t. The little bit of trash talking I do is no where near what some members on here are doing.

I love you guys! LOL...even saintz08 although he and I would disagree about most anything. In fact, I even like Whodat! LOL

If given the option there is ONE person who\'s posts I\'d ignore and I\'d betcha money most others would too. Most of the \"stuff\" that goes on in here is tolerable. We\'re all grown ups and at least we occasionally act like it...all except one...and I\'m gettin really close to typing the name here so I\'ll stop.

Suffice it to say I\'d LOVE the oppurtunity to ignore posts.

While I hate to lose a member, I have a job to do. I am not the one who makes the posts that have to be edited. I just have to do the dirty work. Some on here forget that we do have women members and as far as I know there are no rateing stops to stop all the profanity for kids. If a 10 year old girl wants to come on and read about the Saints I feel that she should be able to do so without haveing to read about male or female private parts or God knows what other words. Halo had it right, this is supposed to be a football board, not a place to come and take out your daily frustrations on someone you don\'t even know. When I first joined this board there was a member who I thought was a complete jerk, you all know him as Pak, now that I know him he is one of the better members of the board simply because he says what he has to say and slams no one. At times this board reminds me of a quote from the movie Tombstone, when Billy Bob Thornton was dealing cards and said, \"Playing with you people reminds me of playing with my brothers kids.\"

We all love the Saints, there is no doubt of that, we just have differing views of what it takes to fix them. That\'s what being a fan is all about.

You have to respect several members of this board for their knowledge and straight forward approach to this team. B&B and Lummox come to mind, these guys say what they think and are respected by the membership for knowing what they are talking about. There are others, but for now that\'s all that come to my simple mind.

If we lose a member because I edit their post, I\'m sorry, but I edit when it is necessary.

Bottom line, don\'t act like a moron and I won\'t have to edit like a moron.

Pak?? I believe you because I know you wouldn\'t lie about it, but it seems very hard to beleive. Well, Pak once said we were a lot alike. I just don\'t see Pak here very much anymore. Where the hell ya at Pak?
