Meachem, Arrington and Morstead all Return to Practice

For the first time since training camp began the New Orleans Saints had all the receivers on their roster in pads Monday.
John McCusker/The Times-PicayuneRobert Meachem returned to New Orleans Saints practice on Monday.
The most notable return was that of Robert Meachem, who came off the physically unable to perform list Sunday and participated at practice fully for the first time. The team wasted no time getting Meachem into the mix, as quarterback Drew Brees threw to him three times in succession on goal line drills. The first Brees deliberately threw high when Meachem was well covered in the end zone and that went incomplete; Meachem then caught one over the middle short of the end zone and a screen pass that appeared to result in a touchdown.

Afterward, Meachem said he is still scheduled to meet with doctors Wednesday and until then his status remains practice-to-practice. Were it up to him, Meachem insisted he would be at every practice.
The toe - the second on his right foot - still throbs and Meachem is playing with a steel shank in his shoe and heavy tape. "I'm keeping the trainers busy," he joked, putting the pain at 4.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Also back, after missing three practices with a sprained shoulder, was wide receiver Adrian Arrington. His left shoulder was lightly taped and he gave a thumbs up when asked how he felt after practice.
Punter Thomas Morstead returned, too, after suffering a separated shoulder in the first preseason game last Thursday at New England. Morstead said there is constant pain which will probably linger thoughout the season but that he is good to go.
Morstead got hurt making a tackle on his first punt against the Patriots. He said he will never deliberately allow a player to get past him - they might get past him, he added, but not without him trying to make the tackle - although the coaching staff has told him to be less concerned with that in the preseason.

Receiver Adrian Arrington is also back in full pads after missing the weekend practices with a shoulder injury.

Exactly QBREES, you know ya'v got a football player when the punter will openly hit any player without a seconds thought, I remember last year in week 5 when he tackled dominek hixon on a kick return aswell. I really like morstead

Morstead thought he dislocated his shoulder at first. He will be fine.

I bet Curtis Johnson was excited to have all of his receivers together and practicing at the same time.
