How is the new identity?

It's obviously SweeeeT!!!!!

I don't mean this in any disrespect but just curious about the change of the city. When I first visited NO, the Saints had defeated the the Giants and saw their first time into the playoffs. Bourbon Street didn't stop going crazy until about 5AM.

Then was the Swilling era. I did attend the Saints/Falcons game. Unfortunately the Saints lost but still made the playoffs after an 8-0 start and the optimism was still there.
I remember those "Cha-Ching Cha-Champs" t-shirts.

I remember going to a Ravens/Saints game in Baltimore in 96. There were some Saints fans there with bags over their heads.

Though it took a long time, you went from putting bags over your heads to being one of the most respected franchise in the league. CONGRATULATIONS!

No more bag identity! For those of you that lived those bag days to what you have now... I'd love to hear your story!

Those bags have been altered to hand out to fans of others team, such as the Cowgirl fans and Viqueens fans, since we no longer need them.

Bourbon Street has still not stopped celebrating. This has been a year long celebration, starting with last years preseason when we went 3-1, then beating the Giants, the Patsies, and going 13-0. Then into the palayoffs, down went the Cardsand then the Vikes. The New Orleans fans would have been celebrating even if we lost the Superbowl, but you know the story, we brought Payton down to his knees and brought Tiffany home. I heard Harry Connick Jr. Describe the Saints as a Life Preserver for a city that almost drowned. This team has brought a new vitality, not only to a city, but a region and a whole state. As I said before, this has been a year long celebration, and we will continue to celebrate last years season no matter the outcome of this season and seasons to come. Last year was magical.

The Aint's are part of the Saints history. If you lived through all of the lean years (I've done it since 67) then you know what it's like to truly love something and be in a committed relationship that while it has it's up's and many more down's we still love the old bag because she's our old bag. You don't know where you're going if you forget where you can from!

foreverfan 08-29-2010 10:26 AM

Even the ugly broads have taken off the bags.

I'm loving the new identity. It's kind of like Clark Kent going public.

In the words of White Goodman from the movie "Dodgeball", "Here in WhoDat Nation, we're better than you...and we know it!" :p
