this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; And reduce penalties. That's all I got to say about that....

I feel the same way about the run defense. The good news is the Saints usually are able to adjust as a game progresses, so they are usually able to somewhat mask the run defense weakness.

your right mat-t we always some kinda way start pluging holes after we start bad. then we go up by 21 and there forced to go 1 dimensional.

Eventually we are going to have to have another strong DT because every team will be looking to exploit our weakness. GW is brilliant but he can only mask our deficiencies for so long with a band aid fix.

I still think our D is a work in progress. Next offseason I see us going after LB's, DT,s and WR.

We could definitely do better in that area. Vilma's groin may bug him for a while and that may inflate our issue even more. I hope they rest him rather than play him gimpy, groins are easily re-aggrivated. 2-1/2 to 3 yards per carry will do just fine - thank you very much. Throw some pass rush in there too if you don't mind. We have not been getting good pressure without blitzing. Somebody needs to step it up.
