Exactly 2 DT's on the roster today

...by my count, with Clancy, Woods, Pressley and one other whose name I forget (Ross??) all cut today. There's going to be someone else hired soon or Ellis and Ayodele are going to be mighty busy.

Am I missing something?

Edit: OK, I missed Hargrove and Wilkerson (they were listed as DL and I was looking for DT). Even so, that still looks pretty thin at the position to me, if you can use the word "thin" when talking about the DT position.

Here's the roster as it was before the cut to 53:

I think you are missing the fact that Hargrove and Wilkerson spend the majority of their time at DT.

Danno 09-04-2010 09:10 PM

Hargrove is a DT, albeit a little light.

It seems to be the least important position in G.Ws scheme...

Good point. I wonder since GW attacks instead of reacts, maybe the big fat run-stuffers aren't as needy as faster more disruptive DT's?

Yep...but we need help at LB ..that is a must

Throw Strief out there and hope people trip over his body.

We dont have the depth on the O-Line to do that ...lol...

I don't like the run defense at this point. A lot of runs right up the middle against us all preseason. Also, not a lot of pressure on the qb, that I seen. I trust our coaches, but I certainly hope these things improve.
