Yep, gotta' be a man and admit AB played extremely well. I have to give the guy kudos, he made EVERY throw and actually played with some fire in his belly. Course, it would help if we played Atlanta's secondary every week, but give credit where credit is do. The guy played well. Maybe he can build on it. I still don't believe he's "the guy", but I will applaud his last performance. Well done AB.

Upon further review, the replay shows that swampdog DOES eat with his hands. The play has been overturned. There is no penalty. BillyC will be charged one timeout and the crow will be placed at the spot of the foul.

Please rest the game clock.

LOL..... I just hope 08 can find it. I think 08 has eye trouble, because he seems to be watching a different game every week --

BillyC --

I give credit where credit is due. \"08\" actually took his crow like a man in another thread as amazing as it seems. ...says it tastes just like Chicken. LOL

Unless your first name is \"Metastatic\" and your last name \"Melanoma\", I\'m not sure you had much to do with it. I may have referred to you as \"malignant\" once, but that was figuratively speaking. I\'m not about to give you that much credit.

He did no such thing. 08 gave credit for 1 well thrown pass in Brooks entire career. He hasn\'t even smelled the crow yet, much less taken a bite... :P

Don\'t worry Billy, I called him out on that too. I\'m on him...I have been for more than a year now. He know\'s the deal, he just can\'t bring himself to admit it. I take great pleasure in knowing that he knows I see through his agenda. He\'ll always be in love with \'ol Jake...can\'t teach an old dog new tricks ya know! ;)

saintfan -- Click on the link and see what the Panther Fans have to say about Jake. Maybe you can feed 08 some of that. They are saying, well............check it out. You\'ll love some of it....

Accurate, and I enjoyed the read Billy.

The thing is that ANYbody who watches Jake play would say the same thing...any body that is who (a) know\'s what he\'s talkin about and (b) is willing to be honest about it.

I like Jake...always have, but I see him for what he is, not the \"savior\" 08 thinks he is. Problem with 08 (and some others) is that you could him square in the head with it and they still won\'t get it. They were far too interested in seeing Jake start than to either be (a) fair or (b) honest.

Like I said, funny really, how visible the agenda is. One must simply learn to laugh off those \"good \'ol boys\" and their \"Pea Patch Politics\".

:P

I can\'t resist. Here\'s a couple of comments about Jake --

Quote:

Jake is promising but he lacks some fundamentals that should be developed by now and could be worked on after practice. For a team that runs so much Jakes play fakes flat out suck. I never have a problem following the ball on a fake to the running back. McNair sells it very well. Also Jake tends to lock onto Steve Smith and not go to the second or third guys. I did not see him pump fake the ball all day. I understand why Henning doesn\'t throw the ball more. We lose when we do!

This team needs to play Panther Football. Thats running the ball, playing kick A defense and controlling the clock. I hope we don\'t throw more than 15 passes next week.
Quote:

Just to set the record straight I had some additional people watching individuals on the field during the game so that I coul report back based on posts that have been made.

First let me say that Jake proved that he is what he is, and that is a first year starter. The comment had been made about the passes sailing the last couple of weeks and today when the game just went downhill, Jake couldn\'t hit himself in the ass with both hand in a rush. Sound bad? It\'s not. This is his first year as a starter and even though he\'s been in the league six years, he might as well be a rookie
.

Hey BillyC. unless you know anything about military history, I\'d take my quote off your signature. Talk about taking something out of context and using it for one\'s own use. Post the ENTIRE quote if you are man enough.

Dog -- Just thought I\'d give you a taste of how you\'ve been taking things out of context. How does it feel to be Aaron Brooks? But, I\'ll take it off if you like. You did give Brooks credit, so I have to give you credit...

Fair enough. Up until yesterday, I don\'t think I took anything out of context on Brooks, however he did play like an all pro, yesterday.

His knowledge of military and people\'s parental figures are outstanding!!! But, it won\'t get you very far on a football message board.

Thought this was interesting. I always wondered where the phrase came from.

Quote:

What about the expression eating crow, meaning accepting what one had fought against? As one tale has it, that phrase has its origin in a wartime hunting exchange between a trespassing local hunter and an enemy army officer. Supposedly, the local man shot a crow on enemy lands. The soldier first tricked the hunter into handing over his weapon, then forced him at gunpoint to take a bite of his own crow to teach him a lesson.
