Allen's Analysis

Question on the Saints: Should these past two blowouts make us believe they've turned it around?
No, not until this team beats a good team. Sure, they were playing their division rival this week, but the Falcons are still a very bad team. Two victories over two bad teams are to be expected, not applauded. The Saints haven't gotten a victory against a good team this season. Until then, I'm not convinced.

I don\'t think there is anyone in the country that would or should be convinced that the Saints are for real based off of wins over the Bears and Falcons. However, if history has taught us anything, I hope it has taught us that no matter what teams you beat it doesn\'t mean a damn thing.

Last year we beat the eventual Super Bowl Champs TWICE, Green Bay, 49\'ers, and Steelers !! That told us a lot right? Last time I checked a win was a win.

The only thing the last 2 wins have done is given us an opportunity to get to the playoffs. This team is starting to remind me of the 2000 team that won it\'s first playoff game. The difference is this team has much more talent. Maybe last year things came to easily in the beginning and they thought they were better than they were. One thing about it -- If this Sants team can somehow make it to the playoffs, they will have proven they have a whole lot of heart. They will also no what it means to go through adversity and come out the other side.

Gator --

Do you read my post or do you just see my name and automatically disagree? I agreed with Eric Allen. What I was saying is that even if we beat a Tampa Bay or Carolina it really doesn\'t mean that much. I then went on to say -- look at the teams we beat last year!! What did that tell you? Not too much !!

Go back and read my post again Gator. I\'m under no illusion that because we beat the Bears and Falcons that it means ANTHING.

Oh, Gator -- It\'s seems that you might think that the Saints can turn this thing around? I seem to remember you (and others) tellin\' me I was a damn fool for believing that a couple of weeks ago. As a matter a fact, you said that there was NO WAY they could do it. So while you are tellin\' me I ain\'t to BRIGHT, you should remember not to go writing this team off so damn early next time... OK FONZY???
