Vince Young says he wants Reggie's Heisman Trophy

Here is what he said:

"I definitely want it, I definitely want it,'' said Young, who was runner-up for the Heisman that year, when he guided Texas to the national championship. "But he won it fair and square definitely, and it's much respect to Reggie, man. He had a great career and he's already won a Super Bowl before me. I'm already mad about that.

"But at the same time I am definitely happy for him, man, and he is definitely the Heisman Trophy winner for that year. But if they send it over to me I am not going to say no to it.''

Well hey, if Bush can't have it, it's only right for the runner up to get it, i don't see nothing wrong with Vince saying give it to him, if Reggie would have sucked that year Vince Young would have been hoisting the Heisman up instead of Reggie, and he probably would have ended up on The saints roster as well lol and hoisting up a Lombardi 5 years later.

Guilty? Guilty of what.... accepting gifts and a ride in a Limo? In regards to winning the Heisman Trophy, he did nothing that would justify it being removed... steroids, growth hormone, betting on his own games, cheating in any way, etc... Nothing he did off the field effected what he did on the field...

As far as for Vince.. Dude, why would you want it?

"Daddy, you won the Heisman in 05'?"... "no Reggie Bush did but he rode in a Limo so they gave it to me"... WTF? Accepting that trophy is like picking up your best friends ex at last call because there was nothing left... Nothing to be proud of...

I agree he's not "guilty" or even desrves to be stripped. Not my decision. I accept that - but if he IS stripped it should go to the runner up.

as for your analogy it is mixed at best.

If accepting an award as a runner up after the winer is stripped is like picking up your best friend's ex because there was nothing left

then, advancing to the presidency after an impeachment (deserved or not) is like arguing with me on a chat line at 5 in the morning 'cuz there is nothing left.

exiled... I understand your point about runner ups and all, and agree that second place should always get the first place trophy if first place cheated or is stripped. This is 5 years after the fact... FIVE years lol thats 1/2 an NFL career.

1. I am not arguing.. You mis-took my tone
2. Someone has to run the country... there are dutys to be done.... I am not sure there are any 2005 Heisman responsibilities left to be filled lol..
