I just got an IM from Halo. Swampdog is gone. Now before everyone starts the party let me explain something here.

These are the words of Halo and I concur with him on this.

There will be no more personal vendetta's allowed. Over and done.
Act like adults.
Quit the petty *****ing and griping.
Last but not at all least, talk football, that's it plain and simple. This is a Saints board for Saints fans. Agree,disagree who cares, we have to have rules and we will live by them or we will be gone.

If you choose not to participate and do this anyway, be prepared to be removed. Looks like he and I have had enough. Have fun! Just not at somebody else's expense.

js and halo...........i\'ve expressed my feelings for other members and will do the same for swampdog.....when is enough, enough? you\'ve drawn a line now........
remember this, it could lead where you don\'t really want it to go......
variety makes this board what it is......
in the constitution, it\'s called freedom of speech, freedon of the press,,bla, bla, bla....
yes, you have your own rules here, and i try to abide by them.......
but remember this.......when you play god on a saints board............
you have to be forgiving.........
i\'m sure you have warned, but myself as a member would like to see these warnings, documented, and shown when requested......
if i am being unfair, show me.......
i have the freedom to go where i want, say what i want,and to whom i want.....
that is my right...............
you , nor anyone on this board will ever, i repeat, ever, take that right away.....
i feel on this matter, i am being fair...........are you?
i have no problem with the editing and wish you would continue as you have to police this board in the manner you see fit, but........
there seems to be a problem with the man hours to do this 24-7.....
if this is the real problem, i understand..........
i wish you well in all future problems as they will come.......
everyone.........has a right to say their opinions.......everyone.....
even the a##holes.................it\'s a tough job, i know.....and i hope we can work it out.

ssmitty, you\'re right you can express your opinion here or anywhere else. All we are asking is that members don\'t abuse other members. I really don\'t think it\'s to much to ask. If some do, oh well, I\'m sorry, but that\'s the way it is.If we can\'t discuss Saints football without calling other members names we aren\'t very adult. Maybe we need to go back to school or let Dad teach us how to play well with others.

That\'s all I have to say about it. If some are unhappy, sorry. Those are the rules put to me. I will obey them and enforce them.

At some point in time we all have to put someone other than ourselves first.

Since I have been a member here the rules have been very confusing to me. At least the rules I have been asked to follow. Now, I understand the personal attacks. But, I\'ve been told not to tell someone they are WRONG. I\'ve been told that I\'m WRONG for questioning someone\'s loyalty to this team. I\'m here to talk football and I\'ll be glad to follow the rules, but post ALL the damn RULES and let\'s ALL follow them.

We can all fool ourselves and pretend that there is not going to be any trash talking but that\'s not realistic. Some of the stuff is just friendly smack but some goes too far. This has been going on since and before I was a memeber here and NOTHING has changed. It\'s not my job to make it stop but if it was I certainly believe I could stop it one way or the other.

I really don\'t have any complaints about ANYTHING that is being said on here because I read what I want to and do not read things I don\'t want to read.

If you let MLK march on Washington, you have to let the KKK do the same. That\'s a founding ideal of this country. I have done my best to help keep this on target Joe, (just as Billy), but I don\'t like this move. If you had acted this quickly when Billy first showed up we\'d have a different all time post leader b/c his would have stopped at around 100. Just keep that in mind.

You\'re right, keep it about football and be respectful. Couldn\'t agree more. But aren\'t you jumping a little quickly on this... or did I miss something in the last day or two?

If you own a restaurant and some jerk comes in and starts dropping F-bombs and cussing out customers and generally making a ass out of himself, the owner has every right to kick the jerk out. Freedom of speech doesn\'t apply in this case.
This is Joe\'s restaurant and he has the right to kick anybody out for any reason he chooses. It his private property.

If swampy wants to open his own restaurant and trash talk everyone he wants to he has that right.

I have no problem with Joe kicking out an obnoxious hostile jerk.

Joe and Halo did the right thing and have every right to do so.

I\'m 100% behind this move Joe, Halo.

Gator, I was on line when Swamp started a series of posts that got WAY out of hand. Nothing at all like the way Billy and several members got into it. Several posts had to be removed completely.
He crossed the line. Most of you guys weren\'t on line when he exploded, I was.
I\'m sure he was warned.
If he hadn\'t left I, and many others, probably would have.

There\'s a big difference to me in getting into a pisssing contest with someone (billy*cough*gator*cough*08*cough*fan*cough) on a post or two, it can be entertaining, but bringing that crap into every single post is annoying.
Swamp went beyond annoying, and not just like Andy Kaufman annoying either.

Dog did something I have never heard ANYONE do. Which is cursing memebers out in a very insulting way. We can all have our opinions on whether he should have been banned or not, but you can hardly fault JoeSam and Halo for making that call.

Really, all that is being asked is that we keep things civil on here. Well actually we aren\'t being asked, we are being told. The reason we are now being TOLD is because we have all been asked SEVERAL times.

I\'m not too big to admit I\'ve been WRONG and that I have persisted to do some things that I\'ve been asked not to do. Now, this is not a normal pratice for me, regardless of what some want to think. Maybe I\'ll get WhoDat to come up with a system simular to the QB rating system to see what percentage I am guilty of in my posts.

I\'m sure there will be things said that push the envelope on here, but I\'ll do my part to try to follow the rules. I joke around with some members on here as do others and it\'s only friendly smack talk. I hope and believe that the moderators will let this continue to be allowed.
