Negative Vibes Abound

I don't like what I am feeling. Our two wins have not been pretty, they are not like last year, maybe we are spoiled. Games like last night good teams lose and great teams win them. Having said that I was on the B&G chat during the game last night and just reading some posts in the forum I am seeing and feeling negative vibes creeping into our house. I don't know if iot is bandwagoneers or what but we can't give up on them because of a couplae of close games. We have got to keep the faith and believe. We are the Who Dat Nation~'nuff said!

Hey Goodell . . . This year we will kick ass for free!

Some are bandwagoneers, others are DRAMA QUEENS.

I can tell you I've never given up on our team and never will.

This is how I look at it....

Eternal Optimist: Last year we came out of the blocks looking stellar and then later in the season slowed down and had a few nail biters towards the end, with a few losses.

This year we are having our nail biters in the beginning (winning them). That way we can bring it all together and peak towards the playoffs.

Just a reversal of our performance last season.

Final Outcome the same. Super Bowl Champs!

Bandwagoners jump ship at the first sign of water.

Die-Hards grab a bucket.

(If that makes any sense )

I believe at some point last night I posed something like, "we are getting our asses handed to us." We were. San Francisco showed up and all but dominated our offensive and defensive lines. Clearly they are a good team. I hope this doesn't reflect on me as a band-wagoner but rather as someone who saw another team take it to us and good.

Still, I subscribe to what Steve Young said after the game because I was thinking the same thing. These are the kinds of games we used to lose. We now have the ability to win ugly, and last night was an ugly win.

So it's still a win, and I'll take it, but it's pretty clear we're going to have to score 25+ PPG on most Sunday's. Our Run D sucked. Our tacking sucked. Our Pass and Run blocking sucked. Period. We have much to fix.

C'mon Man...

I'm not pointing finers at anyone in particular . . . you know who you are. I'm just saying check your faith, in the Saints, at the door before entering the House of the Who Dat Nation. If it is shaky then maybe you need not enter!

I've had some questions but never any doubts. We have started this season off with back to back wins. That's the same way we started last year. There is room for improvement and we can expect to see it this coming week against Atlanta. Payton will work on the few problems that we have and he will fix them. Because this team is well motivated and well coached the Saints again found a way to win on Monday night. Identifying the problems and correcting them is what makes Sean Payton such a brilliant coach.
