Why are the D line and O line struggling?
 

I'm concerned about our offensive and defensive lines. The offensive line doesn't seem to be able to open holes for our running backs or to keep the pressure off Drew. Our defensive front hasn't had much success getting to the QB or stopping the run. These are basically the same players that we played last year when we started 13-0. Why are they struggling? What do you think it will take to fix it?

Let Drew dink and dunk'em to death the first couple of series. That should slow their roll and bring in the safeties. The quick releases will help our guys get into a rhythm, make way for the running game and cause some single coverage on the outsides for Colston and Henderson. We've got to get the offense clicking, and that's one way to do it. The defense just has to figure out how to get off the field. They can't consistently allow 17 play drives for scores. If they play well enough to force opponents to use 17 plays, they just have to make that extra effort and stop the drive after 7-10 plays. Their tongue will be hanging midway the 3rd quarter every week if they spend that much time on the field. Make some plays, make some tackles, then get some rest until we score.
