\"08\" Kool-Aid will be served free of charge! ;)

Couldn\'t resist 08.

By the way, your boy Jake was somewhat less than spectacular Sunday, but a win is a win so credit where credit is due. That \"non-Safety\" call in the 1st quarter (among other things) cost us the game!

I just posted that very same thing on the Fumble thread myself Saintfan, his back was turned to the line of scrimmage! How can that not be a safety? Terrible call if you ask me.

See visitors it is a friendly forum ,

We serve kool aid and do basic math .

Todays lesson plan is simple N.F.L. math brought to us by a rather simple member named Saintsfan . Saintsfan has stated that the non safety call on Jake Delhoome in the end zone , cost the Saints the game .

Lets check

Aaron Brooks - throws ball to tight end with no air under the ball and it gets it intercepted .... -6 points

Jake Delhomme reversal of Safety -2 points

Brooks still has -4 points for his total and the Panthers won by 3 points .

So by doing the math , we can clearly see Brooks -1

I wouldn\'t expect anything less from you than to defend Delhomme. I still think you were rooting for the Panthers 08. The Saints get that non-call on the \"should have been\" safety and no tellin\' how that game might have turned out.

But, you defend \"little Jake\" all ya want to. You\'re only hurting your own credibility Saintz08...not mine.

The difference in Jake and Brooks can be summed up in their coaches pre-game instructions...

Haslet to Brooks- \"Aaron, try and win the game for us son\"
Fox to Jake - \"Jakey, just try not to screw it up for us son\"

Brooks biggest assett-\"Rifle arm and lethal passing game\"
Jakes biggest assett-\"A sweet looking hand-off to the real talent\"

Couldn\'t have stated it any better Tweeky :

Brooks biggest assett-\"Rifle arm and lethal passing game\"

Your right , he rifled it right to the Panthers linebacker and killed the drive . ;)

When I think about plays that cost us the game yesterday, the interception was not rated as high as several other plays. Please oh please, keep putting Gardner in the game so that we can continue to see why he was a 6th round pick. I think you are reaching 08...

I think you are reaching 08... :hallucine:

How is an interception thrown in the red zone , with a minute left in the 3rd quarter a reach ??

If the Saints get the touchdown at that point , the score is :

Saints 24
Panthers 13

Going into the 4th quarter .

I agree with your last post, everything in it, and before you read anything else, repeat this sentence, and read the rest of this article with that in the back of your head, except the part that I am reaching, of course. But I say you are reaching because you are referencing the one glaring mistake that Aaron made to continue to further your anti-AB agenda. I\'m not going to get mad at a player for making a mistake like that, as long as he has a great game. You take that one throw away, and Aaron had a good game. Horn had a dropped early on (though I can\'t remember if it would have gotten us a first down or not), that doesn\'t take away from one of the best games I\'ve ever seen him play. Horn was 100% heart yesterday. Gandy allowed a sack, but he looked like a stud on some of those open field blocks on screen plays.
The people that I like to single out are players that continue making mistakes or not making plays when they could. Bellamy has impressed the hell out of me, and he might as well be playing out there alone, with the performance we\'ve had from TJones. Gardner turned my stomach, you\'d expect a 33% passes caught from one of Jerry\'s kids, not an NFL wide reciever. And those two drops happened to be critical to the outcome of the game, in my opinion. KSmith would be better served at Home Depot, Davis mistook him for a welcome mat instead of an DT.

Band B ,

The sad part is that Brooks makes the initial read with the linebacker in the area and just assumes he will not turn around .

All Brooks has to do is put some air under the ball and Boo is wide open and possibly in the end zone . Brooks takes the chance and fires the laser and he gets burned for it .

Sorry , but it just seems like a really bad judgement call to me for Brooks to think the linebacker will not turn around when he could easily make the pass by throwing over him .

Sometimes Saintsfan it is just the little things that matter .

Like a liitle air under the ball .
Not lining up a tight end on the defensive end .
Concentrating on an inbound ball .
Or blocking down field .

But they all add up don\'t they ???

I agree- it was a bad call. He should have known better than to make that throw. And correct me if I am wrong, but didn\'t he make that throw on the run, thereby making it that much more difficult?
But he still had a good game yesterday, all things considered. I was extremely impressed with the way he was looking off the safeties.

They do all add up 08, and it was not a well thrown ball. My problem with you is as it has always been. You refuse to focus in on ANYTHING other than Aaron Brooks. In the past you\'ve accused me (among others) of wearing Brooks goggles, but honest, my man, it\'s you wearing the Brooks Goggles.

As a side note, your boy Delhomme sure got his TE popped over the middle yesterday huh? Numerous throws were off the mark huh? Had he been playing against a quality secondary, how many pics do you think he would have thrown? Take a stab at it.

Brooks is an effective quarterback , when he knows where he wants to go with the ball . He has proven that before and will continue to prove that . He is also good at shredding a cover 2 defense , his particular play style and passing style are good against that defense .I think Brooks will have a good day against the Bucs .

Hey Saintsfan ,

What\'s that picture under your name ????

Goggles ???

Delhomme looked miserable yesterday . That is for sure , but he did not cost his team any points . And even worked his way around a safety .

Agree he almost killed the tight end ....
