They looked slow and tired since the Vikes game.

Casillas was supposed to be the speed guy in our LB corp.

I can't decide if its fatigue or lack of passion, but they look lethargic.

My analysis of our linebacking corp:
Vilma- Very good and has good speed.
Shanle- Average and slow.
Everyone Else- Terrible.

That's the main problem.

Close, but...

Danny Clark - Hammerhead (average speed) Should be starter.
Jo-Lonn Dunbar - Average, with average speed.
Stanley Arnoux - Undersized but fast, basically still a rookie.
Clint Ingram - Above average, decent speed, out till week 7.
Marvin Mitchell - Best suited for 3-4 ILB, decent player, having a good season so far.

After Vilma's groin thing, he looked to be late more so than I am used to seeing. His lack of leverage was also a bit out of character for him. He would totally stop forward progress prior to the injury and I've seen him get driven and dragged of late. Between he and Fujita, with a little help from their friends, they would run almost everything down. Even if they didn't make the tackle, they would disrupt it so, until the play would break down. Its amazing how, at this level, the loss of even one step could have a detrimental effect on a teams ability to get a stop or make a play that continues a drive. I like Shanle's heart, I just wish he had legs to match. I think that the defense will come around as soon as the offense starts putting up points and forces teams to play catch up. We look pretty sluggish and lackluster on both sides of the ball. We give up way too many 3rd and longs on the defense and fail way too many 3rd and shorts on the offense. Is there a generic form of Vicodin? Is that 5-hour Energy thing on the banned substance list?

Yep, we lost it to an ACL injury in training camp. I think Casillas was gonna be a very productive player in our system.
