Defensive Coordinators Of Past

Wade Phillips - didn't get enough credit while here coaching under his dad, Bum, but the core of great talent was assembled during the Phillips era and they played solid defense. Couldn't get help from offense during this span to score enough or seal up games when only a first down was needed.

Steve Sidwell - other pieces of the puzzle added to the above core group that became a dominating defense with the renowned "Dome Patrol" only to still lack enough fire power on offense to support.

Monte Kiffin - continued the tradition. Did we realize when he left how good he was?

Ron Zook - never scared to blitz and was good at schemes to game plan.

Rick Venturi - is well respected by coaches and personell throughout the league but hasn't gotten the desired results from his personell either due to talent, schemes, technique, or defensive play calling.
