Payton said Ingram wasn't as far along from his injury as they thought he'd be. But he could be a consideration in the future.
jeffduncantp: Payton said Ingram was not making the progress physically. Praised his effort in the rehab. Said his recovery was longer than expected. |

Doesn't have to mean that. As i under stand it a decision has to be made after 6 weeks to either IR the guy, play him or cut him. If he's not ready now but might be in a month there's no use in IR:ing him but he can't stay on the roster while getting healthy either.
