Week 9 has arrived......

All of the hype and ceremonies have been reduced to HEXES and 3 wins....

I remember telling many folks that come week 9, our match up might not even matter.

Well consider this the GANSTER STYLE (BADA-BING) whacking......

After this game it will be clear as to the choices the Saints will have to take.....

Haslett must be releaved of his duties and give these good true Saints fans something to cheer for.....

Until then, folks like BillyC will continue to feed the fires of ridicule, as he as done here today....

I started not to post, or say anything, but BillyC called my bluff. But oh well.....

A wise man once ended a post with these words:

They might hold the rings, but we hold the ownership.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS BRIGHT AND FUNNY, worthy of a pass without comment.....

IT HAS BEEN GRANTED.

Meanwhile, the rest of you, please lay your heads on the CHOPPING BLOCKS.....

For the Bucs will execute and remove any glimmer of hope for turning around such a dismal and sad performance by a group of chest pounding, under-achieving, blow hards......

You talking about the Saints or the Bucs, Would\'nt exactly say you\'ve been lighting it up on line with all the crap you and your team talk. Keep it up words like that taste so good when you have to choke on them.

The only question I have about the game is , that if the Saints beat the Bucs in Tampa again , do the Saints get the Home team side of the field and locker room next year ???

So tell me......

Did you allow the Panthers to have the home locker room?

2 YEARS IN A ROW LOSING AT HOME TO THE PANTHERS......

You did know that right?

BucNup,

You keep throwing that gaudy ring up in our faces . . . just one question, Why aren\'t they (BUCS) playing like World Champions?

Hello DBLBogy....

Actually if you look at the \"recent\" history of World Champions, we are playing exactly like World Champions. It\'s been a tough battle thus far and I won\'t cry about it either. We are not done as of yet, unlike your Saints if they lose this one.....

I\'m not throwing that BLING-BLING up in your face. It\'s been there since the start of pre-season.....

Tough seasons like these make you appreciate even more the success of any championship season. If you look really close, (FROM LEFT TO RIGHT on the ring) you can even see the final score:

Bucs 48 - Raiders 21

Week 9 has arrived......

New Orleans (3-5) at Tampa Bay (4-3) Friday, October 31 Sunday, 1:00 pm EST

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaners went 15-4 in their 2002 championship season. The New Orleans Saints handed them half of their losses.

Jon Gruden will remind his players of that when the Buccaneers host the Saints on Sunday in a battle of NFC South rivals.

The Saints spoiled Gruden\'s Tampa Bay debut, defeating the Bucs, 26-20, in overtime here in the 2002 season opener. Martin Gramatica kicked a 40-yard field goal on the final play of regulation to tie the game for the Bucs, but the Saints won it in overtime when linebacker James Allen intercepted a pass from Tom Tupa in the end zone on a botched punt.

In the rematch at New Orleans on December 1, Aaron Brooks passed for two touchdowns to lead the Saints to a 23-20 victory.

Deuce McAllister and Joe Horn will not be intimidated by Tampa Bay\'s vaunted defense. Last season, McAllister rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown on 58 carries and Horn caught 13 passes for 214 yards and a score in the two wins over Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers have been vulnerable against the run this season, yielding 142 yards rushing to Carolina\'s Stephen Davis in Week Two and 212 yards on the ground to San Francisco on October 19.

Last week, McAllister tied Ricky Williams\' club record with his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game, gaining 101 yards on 26 carries in a 23-20 overtime loss to Carolina.

Horn had six receptions for 74 yards, including touchdowns of 14 and 23 yards, in last week\'s loss. On Sunday, Horn hopes to exploit an injury-riddled Buccaneers secondary which throttled the Dallas Cowboys last week.

Despite the absence of two starters - Pro Bowl safety John Lynch and cornerback Brian Kelly - the Bucs held Dallas\' talented trio of receivers - Terry Glenn, Joey Galloway and Antonio Bryant - to five catches for 52 yards in a 16-0 blanking of the Cowboys.

Tim Wansley and Corey Ivy replaced Kelly at cornerback, John Howell filled in for Lynch at strong safety and Jermaine Phillips stepped in at nickel back. Phillips and starting right cornerback Ronde Barber each had interceptions which led to field goals by Gramatica.

Lynch may miss a second straight game with a pinched nerve in his neck. Kelly is out for the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.

\"I think everyone is starting to realize that right now we have to ride with what we have,\" Barber said.

After being singed for 458 yards by San Francisco, the Bucs responded with their second shutout of the year, holding the Cowboys to nine first downs and 178 total yards. The first came in the season-opening 17-0 victory at Philadelphia.

Michael Pittman also provided the Bucs with a running game in the win over Dallas, gaining a season-high 113 yards on 30 carries.

Tampa Bay\'s Brad Johnson completed 56-of-96 passes for 554 yards and four touchdowns with one interception and Keenan McCardell had 17 catches for 170 yards and two scores in the two games against New Orleans last season.

New Orleans leads the series, 15-7,

Irony of the whole thing is the fact that, I live fairly close to Tampa and before last year there was not one fan. If you go to Tampa now, people walking down the streets with Bucs paraphenalia and billboards. What a bunch of band wagon jumpers these guys are. I don\'t recall ever seeing one bright orange flaming jersey on anyone. They don\'t support sports. Their hockey team did well last year, and this year so far, they have fans, prior nothing. Baseball, check out their attendance records. They don\'t support sports unless they start to win. That is about as fairweathered as you can get. The Bucs have something to prove to N.O., there is no pressure to prove anything to a team we beat twice. In fact, it will be interesting to see what their fan base does after they don\'t repeat this year. The city will go back to celebrating cigar making. Good Luck.........at least the Saints fans have stuck by our losers through thick and thin.
