Saints coach denies report of tiff between himself and injured running back Pierre Thomas

At his weekly press conference a day after his team was humbled by the Cleveland Browns, Saints coach Sean Payton admitted he's frustrated at the slow progress of running back Pierre Thomas' rehab, but he denied a report that there was a tiff between him and Thomas.

"There hadn't been any tiff. You know, certainly, we're all frustrated with the progress of Pierre's rehab, and anything specific in that manner would be between Pierre and I," Payton said.

But when pressed by reporters about the report by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Payton repeated the matter's between him and Thomas.

"Anything that takes place with Pierre and myself in those meetings is certainly not for you," Payton answered.

Thomas has been sidelined by an ankle injury that he suffered against Atlanta in week 3.

I like the way Payton talks to reporters. He tells it the way it is. Basically he told reporters it was none of their business.
This is a quality team with good coaching(mostly genius) and I believe we have the leadership to fix this cursed Madden curse. Gris Gris Baby! Gris Gris!

Saints have the leverage and if they draft another RB, hopefully this season has taught the FO something, he'll never be anything but a special teams, KR specialist after that...
