Where are the adjustments?

Last year, it seemed like we made noticeable adjustments throughout each and every game. Whether it be at the half, or on the fly, I always felt confident that if we were struggling with one particular player, or a particular area, specific adjustments were made, and I always saw noticeable improvements thereafter. I really thought Payton and his coaching staff were as good as any in this category.

I am not seeing that this year at all, is anyone else in agreement?

I'm definitley in agreement rfenasci, an example was the week 8 game vs carolina. Our passing game is struggling and we can't seem to get down the field, then (john madden esque) BOOM, 2nd play of the 3rd quarter a slant to devery goes 60 yards. It always seemed that in the 3rd quarter we came out all guns blazing, just look at the superbowl after the onside kick because it happened there aswell.
Nowadays it seems as though payton does not call as aggressive as he did, the execution is slow and lathargic, and we just end up turning the ball over either inside the redzone or inside our 20.
Payton needs to get his act together, so does the whole offense

Maybe instead of writing a book Payton should have written up some more plays. Seriously though I loved reading Home Team but I'm afraid it gave the players too much insight into his motivational techniques.

Maybe it's not something you can adjust for. How do you adjust for players not running good routes or sustaining their blocks.

[Mora Voice]Adjustments? Adjustments? What do you mean adjustments??? [/Mora Voice]

The Saints have made PLENTY of adjustments... During the Browns game Drew read the defense and made a mental decision to go with the Peg Perego Aria Twin two-seater stroller instead of the Schwinn "Free Wheeler" model for Baylen and Bowen. During the third quarter of the Panthers game, Drew decided to tape a PSA against bullying, instead of appearing on the Ellen show to talk about the new baby....he probably adjusted the furniture in the house to make room for the crib after the Cardinals game as well....the O line adjusted their belts and jerseys after almost every play in the Browns game, after getting pushed around and manhandled all game long...Pierre Thomas read what the defense was doing and adjusted his ankle on the couch several times during the second half last week...and while writing his book during the off season, Payton "adjusted" the story of the Super Bowl onside kick to include more of special teams coach McMahon, to emphasize the "feel good" qualities of loyalty and friendship over the years, instead of noticing and correcting the flimsiness in our line on punt rushing, that's been there all along. There have been PLENTY of adjustments made this year LOL!!!!
