The Dirtiest Player/ Team in the game!!!

Why does this team play wack ball, they accused us of cheap shots in the NFC championship game last year but, T. Polumalu and the boys take the cake on cheap shots and bull&%t hits

We played clean D and they played cheap.

Any body see T. Polumalu late hit, after late hit, even on one incompletion trying to injure Julius Jones by going after his knees clearly ball was nowhere near him.

Or Harrison, who I fully expect to either get another 75,000 dollar fine or suspended a game after a bull sh*%t shot on Brees that shiggity is ridiculous.

st thomas 10-31-2010 11:28 PM

don't look now but we might be back, or thinking of returning to form.

dbonlilv14 11-01-2010 12:49 AM

I thought Jones was going to grab a hand full of hair and rip it out of his head. That hit was BS!!!

Saintswrath 11-01-2010 01:19 AM

We beat the Giant that was suppose to just step on our neck and make the 70,000+ fans watch just lay down and take the abuse..

They played dirty and it looks like thats how they've been playing, yet they don't get highlighted on blogs and paper for it..
Saints do anything remotely dirty and it's become the topic of discussion all over and it's the reason we won the Superbowl.. wow.

SaintPauly 11-01-2010 01:39 AM

I gotta say, I think Polomalu got frustrated tonite. He got abused on more than a few plays. Was out of position alot. I think he just got mad, because he got burned almost all night.

Halo 11-01-2010 01:58 AM

Agreed. Think the Steelers didn't like that we hit them hard in the chin right back.

We also used full body tackling to take the ever dangerous Roethlisburger down. I never realized how big he is. Props to the defense.

I really couldn't agree with you more. When the Steelers "hit hard" it's fair play from "The Steelers", when we do it's "cheap shots."

Also consider that most of the criticism was coming from Brett Favre and his new team the Vikings whose fans cried real hard over nothing.

ACTUALLY, Favre was a man about it in the interview I saw. He said that this is football and you're gonna get hit. It's part of the game and you have to deal with it. He didn't say they were cheap shots and he called it an occupational hazard basically. He won back a little bit of my respect when he did that.

Speedy Ron 11-01-2010 08:26 AM

call me crazy but i dont really think they played dirty or cheap. they played hard and pretty tough and maybe a hit or 2 was questionable but that happens when you are flying around like that. this is not flag football

dizzle88 11-01-2010 08:35 AM

Polamalu and Harrison deserved a flag for one play each, the pass to julius jones that got batted down, LITERALLY jones was ready to turn and walk off the field and polamalu came in and hit his kness, THEN we get flagged!!!!
Harrison with the real late hit on brees, we played lights out!!!

QBREES9 11-01-2010 09:13 AM

I think the Saints are just waking up form a long night of party'in

boonedocksaint 11-01-2010 09:41 AM

i've ALWAYS said troy p. is a dirty player. i've seen him do MANY late hits out of bounds. like him as a man, hate him as a player.

dirtiest team? did anyone see the nfc championship last year? ;) yeah, thats right. williams is dirty, and i LOVE it. wouldnt have it any other way. when i played defense in soccer (i know...different sport), i was dirty as hell! being physical, clean or not, is part of the game. all this being said...i think tennesee is CURRENTLY the dirtiest team. punching dudes in the nuts? really!? who doest that? (besides me when i played soccer)

vilma isnt dirty. the vildabeast is just straight up NASTY!

RailBoss 11-01-2010 11:31 AM

Polamalu and Harrison are the two players that the league could fine or suspend every game. What I think we saw was The Saints playing up to the competition level of a good team. Also if things get worse in the secondary SP will be calling up MM again.

SaintPauly 11-01-2010 03:53 PM

I gotta eat my plate of crow on Jenkins. He has been playing great ball the last few games. He's a hitter too. The entire secondary should get a game ball for last night. Well, scratch that, the ENTIRE DEFENSE, should get one.

We have been talking about the WR's dropping balls. Did anyone else notice all the picks we would have had last night, had they been able to hold on to the ball? At least three.

papz 11-01-2010 06:09 PM

I'm probably in the minority here but I love watching Polamalu play... I love his technique, his tackling, and his leadership ability. Sure the hit on Jones was a bit late... he had a full head of steam and was finishing off the play. It was legal though as he didn't get flagged for it... he's a pleasure(for me that is) to watch on Sundays.

Boutte 11-01-2010 06:38 PM

Troy P is a great player. He plays the position like it's supposed to played. Harrison is a cheapshot artist.

Pete 11-01-2010 06:58 PM

I saw on espn that Harrison is facing another possible fine tommorrow for his hit on Drew!!

Yer I've just seen that from espn on monday night football, Adam schefter reported he will be fined, maybe they should suspend him because it's becoming a regular occurence and I just flat out hate the thug!!

RailBoss 11-01-2010 07:20 PM

I think Polamalu plays it right on the edge, he literally tried to take Colsten & Moore out of the game. Brings up the question the NFL is facing with good solid hits and intentional head hunting.

whoooa there bud hold on a second, the steelers play physical, not dirty. and you can't say pitt never gets highlighted criticism, when we won the superbowl in 08, that's all we ever heard. I think you should take a look at both defenses 08, 09 and '10 and you'll realize that both teams play gritty and rugged and get complained about from opposing teams and fans but EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE would love to have a Darren Sharper or a James Harrisson on their team.

QBREES9 11-01-2010 07:48 PM

Polamalu is a great player. Harrison on the other hand not so much is a dirty player.

breesfan27 11-01-2010 09:20 PM

ESPN just reported that Harrison will be fined for that late hit on Brees.

KARMA IS A B*TCH, MOTHERF***ER!! HAHAHA!

Same here, and I thought the late hit on Brees was a BS call too (although I was quite happy to get the call). I didn't start watching until mid second quarter, so maybe I missed something. I have it recorded though and will watch again.

I'll tell you guys one thing, I'd take Troy on my defense every day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

Beastmode 11-01-2010 10:37 PM

Only thing I don't like about Polamalu is he is a known cheater like Brees commented. A player who does that is not a team player. That 50yd strike doesn't happen if he stays in his lane. Jumping a route is one thing but totally disregarding your assignment says a lot about what he was trying to do out there.

Another good example is a few weeks ago when he literally jumped over the line which I thought was illegal. To me that's not football. I saw Mark Fields do that once against Marino in preseason. Marino just looked at him like he was a complete dumb ass.

All of the sudden, I really wanna be frisked......

504state 11-02-2010 01:33 AM

Its football. Some of the same people who were *****ing about the tougher penalties, fines, and suspensions are also *****ing about these hits put on Brees. You cant have it both ways. Its football, they know it going into the game. I say let them play. Every player is trying to sneak in a remember me hit whenever possible, and will do whatever they want if they think they wont get caught. Our players do it, their players do it, they all do it. It is part of the game.

I remember that game! The Steve Gleason nut punch.... heh heh, it was very funny, but also veeery stupid....

RockyMountainSaint 11-02-2010 09:37 PM

What stuck out to me was the tackling by both teams.
Outstanding defense across the board.
When guys hit they wrapped up and finished the play.
I really enjoyed the game.

neugey 11-02-2010 09:41 PM

I think the Jets are actually the Dirtiest team. Mainly because some players and their loudmouth coach can never STFU.

st thomas 11-02-2010 10:36 PM

gleason nutt cutt is still hilariously dumb bell cheap shot. his hand had to hurt banging that cup too! double dumb cheap shot.

Saint_LB 11-03-2010 05:40 AM

Media: Troy, did you try to hurt someone out there today.

Troy: No.

Media: Didn't you...?

Now...off topic. It seems that recently, when BF27 has gone to the mirror and says, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall...", she has been getting a different response. It seems that the mirror has been responding,

"Your beauty is rare...that is true, but there's another from Carolina that might threaten you..."

Boutte 11-03-2010 08:33 PM

I thought the Harrison hit was a penalty but I don't think it's worthy of a fine. And definitely not a suspension.

What the...??

TheOak 11-05-2010 11:25 AM

fk this ... I hope we are/become the meanest dirtiest D-Fense in the league. I want Offenses to pale at the thought of facing us. Fear us all the way through the second super bowl championship!

This is football, the last true gladiator sport.

Troy needs to get a haircut. He's starting to look like an island hooker after a hard Saturday night. Why can't we play like that every game. We will beat the Panthers this weekend because we usually beat them at home and they beat us at home. We win 27-17
