Al "big" Hairris released from Packers

i know i know...but he's got to be better than leigh torrence...

dizzle88 11-08-2010 12:32 PM

leigh torrence has impressed me the past couple weeks, i think we have all the veteran presence we need in the secondary.

Speedy Ron 11-08-2010 12:34 PM

he may have been impressive over the last 2/ 3 weeks but he still has 1 career interception in 7 years. al is a probowler on his last leg. could possibly teach a younger guy something. who knows with our injury potential

lynwood 11-08-2010 12:46 PM

Torrence has upside. Keep him in the mix.

QBREES9 11-08-2010 09:20 PM

Man Torrence has played well.

Turbo Saint 11-08-2010 11:16 PM

i'd still be down for bringing in harris with all the CB injuries we've had.

dbonlilv14 11-09-2010 02:18 AM

The last CB from Green Bay didnt do too bad for us....

ScottF 11-09-2010 06:40 AM

3 weeks ago, yes.
now, no

Danno 11-09-2010 06:50 AM

Torrence plays special teams very well. With our CB's now healthy, Torrence is a much better fit than Al Harris as the 4th CB/ST player.

papz 11-09-2010 08:13 AM

Harris use to be one of my favorite corners in the league... but now that we're almost completely healthy again, his services aren't needed.

Rugby Saint II 11-09-2010 02:08 PM

I'd like to see us bring him in. Then keep his phone number handy if some of our corners go down again.

lumm0x 11-09-2010 04:24 PM

I'd rather have an 8 year younger Torrence if everyone is healthy. Nothing wrong with working him out though in case the injury bug hangs around.

RailBoss 11-10-2010 12:35 AM

We have had pretty good luck with The Green Bay players. Were OK now but seem to be injury prone. Yeah I would give Big Al a call it's like having Aflac Insurance.

saintsfan601 11-10-2010 12:49 AM

With all of our cornerbacks healthy or close to healthy I'd vote that's theres no need.

Hey Leigh has played fairly well recently

I think there are some health issues to worry about with Harris. If there weren't, he'd have probably been scooped up quickly by a team.
Signing him to a performance-heavy contract wouldn't be a bad deal for a team, but there's no telling if he and his agent would go for that.

RailBoss 11-10-2010 12:41 PM

No more speculation Miami signed Al Harris.
