Tom Dempsey's 63-yard field goal - ESPN

This was way before my time but you gotta love a Saint that says that.

On a side note, the unofficial NFL record for a FG is 65 yards, Made by Swedish kicker Ola Kimrin in a preseason game between the Broncos and Seahawks in 2002. Gotta brag about the Swedes ;-)

WHO DAT!!!

This is especially fantastic due to the fact that Dempsey was born without toes on his right kicking foot, truly great moment, way way way before my time, but still great to see. How much can you bet that Dempsey was watching Hartley last January in the NFCCG.

I think he also doesn't have a right hand too. No right toes, no right hand.

My dad was at that game and I was at the NFCCG last season, kinda odd that both of us got to see both great kicks in Saints history just 40 years apart

The way he practically walked up to the ball had me laughing. Today, that would be blocked without question, way too much time. I do however wish they would have kept the kicker using his own ball. It should have been a tradition but I guess the NFL felt it was an unfair advantage like everything else. That rule took away the bomb kicks and made even easy kicks questionable.
