Congrats to the Saints

Nice come from behind win. The Saints should have disposed of the Cowboys easily since Dallas is without its starting QB BUT thats why they play the game. Despite Reggies mistakes, I still think his presence on the field was a plus. You do have to account for him with your defense. This was a confidence builder for the Saints and on the road. Im sure SP will still show them where they need to improve fundamentally. The Saints are getting healthier at the right time. I still think they have some tough games ahead (despite records) but if they can stay healthy, have a great chance at a playoff run. It looks like the rematch with the Falcons is going to be another nail-biter. Im hoping that with Abraham and White returning the Falcons are able to beat the Packers. If we can split the Packers/Saints games I will be a pretty happy Falcons fan. I think how effective Tony Gonzales is (in the Saints/Falcons game) will determine the outcome.

Go Nfc South!!!!

Thanks. Nice to hear from a level-headed Falcons' fan. It is OK being a homer (we have many homers too) but you have to be realistic also; you sound realistic my friend.

While I can't say good luck to the Falcons (and mean it) good luck to you.

Thanks! I post because I know there are some fans of football on here...not JUST homers. What I really enjoy about the Saints/Falcons rivalry this year is that it MATTERS. As saints/falcons fans we have all felt the disappointment of being irrelevant in the NFL. Its a fun rivalry as well because we have so many Katrina transplants here. Heck my neighbor, who built and sold us this house, is a born and bred coon-ass.
Falcons secondary is getting better but still suspect. Their punt return coverage is horrible. Reggie Bush can really make a difference with the latter. Bush in the backfield is going to draw the defense in a little and give Brees some extra opportunities to showcase his arm/accuracy. On the other side, the Saints are not doing well with tight ends. Gonzales is a great one and a favorite target of Ryans. These things make me feel like the rematch is a tie. For whatever reason the Falcons usually win at home....they just do. That is an advantage for the Falcons. The Saints have momentum and more confidence now so that nullifies that. In my mind, if the Falcons beat Green bay, they will beat the Saints (confidence and momentum win over the packers).....if they lose to GB...they lose to the Saints as well. Either way, at this moment, the rivalry has meaning outside of the NFC south and thats pretty damn cool.

This Saints v Falcons game is going to be a major heavy weight fight. Tyson v Bonecrusher style. Both teams are making the playoffs which is the good part...just who's playing at home?

The Saints should've won this game by 3 TD's. Bush better get his act together. The one real bright spot was our kicker, THANK GOD!

Now what did I do with Packers cap I used to have?

Just one lil note, we're not doing to bad with our tight ends after all. Graham is a rookie, but hes coming on strong and by the time we play y'all (the falcons), he'll be mostly out of rookiehood. Looking forward to a great finish in the NFL overall.

That first Saints/Falcons game this year still kills me. If only our kicker had hit that damn overtime kick.....

cablebandit 11-28-2010 11:11 AM

if only after he missed had the Saints defense stepped up and stopped the Falcons from driving down the field.

Warren Sapp just said on NFL network that the Saints are the best team in the NFL right now....oughta make you guys happy.

I think its true,,,lolol, but its not true. Ive always believed that there are
1.Top Teams
2. Good Teams
3. Bad Teams

There could be 5 Top teams 1 year, there could be 14 the next. All teams have + and - , and any Top team could beat the other on a given day. I think we're a Top team, but there are a lot of Top teams this year.

cablebandit 11-28-2010 11:37 AM

he based it on them starting to gain momentum and getting Bush back. That was the same thing i predicted when some of the Saints fans were jumping off buildings even though the saints were severely hampered by injuries early on.
