I think we can quit worrying about HFA now

Looks like even when Atlanta gets behind, they get some help.

If we can't get the divison, then I really don't care if we beat them on the 27th too much.

Just want to stomp a mudhole in their butts when we see them in the playoffs...

|Mitch| 12-05-2010 06:50 PM

Even if the division is out of reach, it will be pure bliss to watch our Saints give them a loss in Atl.

Srgt. Hulka 12-05-2010 06:51 PM

The NFL will not allow us to win in Atlanta. It is a guaranteed win for the birds.

spkb25 12-05-2010 06:52 PM

Dude the division is far from out of reach. They are 1 game better then us in the division and on the year and in the conference. If we beat them all of that is evened up.

What matters is what do we and they do with the other 3 games. They have to go to carolina and then Seattle- the next two games. None of those games are hard, but both on the road so they are on the road 3 straight weeks. I think they drop one.

We can still win this division!

Srgt. Hulka 12-05-2010 06:56 PM

Maybe you still have confidense in the officiating. I have lost all of mine. If we beat Atlanta, it will have to be a lopsided victory. A game even the refs can't fix. Other than that, it's Atlantas game.

No I don't, but I honestly think we will light their secondary up

I think we are that much better then Atlanta, really do

Srgt. Hulka 12-05-2010 07:04 PM

I hope you're right. Like I said, it will have to be all Saints. We will have to shut them down completely.

satch 12-05-2010 07:08 PM

I really don't think it matters where we play the falcants. We will destroy them no matter where the game is played. We are the better team.

I haven't heard any fat lady singing either!

Can somebody tell me when the damn season ended!!!!! Cause you would think it is already done. ATL got more road games, the refs helped their ass out of another predicament tonight on the run back. I still think they drop two more before the season ends. We will end up 13-3. It's not optimism either. We are quietly playing some of the best ball in the league.

Yep, I think they could drop one next week on the road becuse of how demanding this game was A, and B because they are on the road two weeks in a row. If they do win next week in Carolina they travel again the following week to seattle. I think they lose one of those 2

C17-BING 12-05-2010 08:58 PM

Even if we are a wild card ... We go to Seattle (probably) --- I don't see MATT HASSELBACK beating DREW BREES.

The playoffs are a whole new season ... We'll be fine.

Srgt. Hulka 12-05-2010 09:34 PM

I know there's a lot of football left. But when you see the refs F*** up an easy call like the one in the TB game today, it's easy to get down on the rest of the season. My wife saw that call and a professional referee could not? I know we'll be all right, it's just frustrating as hell.

saintfan 12-05-2010 09:43 PM

I've watched closely as Atlanta played the Ravens, the Packers, and now Tampa, and with my homer glasses off, I can honestly say it's hard not to come away from those games without feeling like there is, at the very least, a bit of a lean in Atlanta's favor.

I have friends who think all professional sports are fixed, and they point to the NBA as exhibit "A". I do believe the NBA is rigged. I always have and I've not seen anything that would cause me to change my mind, but the NFL is different.

Still, I'm having a difficult time swallowing some of the crap I've seen take place during these Atlanta games. I cannot help but think Arthur Blank has a picture of the commish doing something in a hotel room with a chicken or something.

Does anyone else find it completely odd how otherwise good football teams just can't get going against this team. They take one step forward and, quite literally, two steps back, and it is almost always due to the officiating and nearly never has anything to do with the players playing the game?

The same is true for the Lions in reverse. The league is making blatant calls against the Lions and they are holding up in review. It's almost like the league doesn't want the Lions to beat teams like Dallas and Chicago, because crap calls are the only reason they haven't.

Either the Falcons are the luckiest team there has ever been in professional sports or something's up, because they just aren't that good.

st thomas 12-05-2010 10:07 PM

i feel sgt. hulkas pain it was hard to turn away from how that freakin team gets away with all the BS calls in there favor. thats for tony gonzalas this cat is an academy award finalist. every game the clowns are down and need the 1st down to stay alive its going to him and he does the his favorite fall down tangle himself up with a LB or DB to get the flag and pose the hurt leg BS. i know hes a HFer, hes been around a long time and knows all the tricks to get the calls. but the way there getting calls is wrong. it changes history for playoff positions more than you would think. lets see i saw the baltimore game than could have gone the other way. and the game today with tampa, cincy was close green bay a call the other way may have changed the game. then the miss. dammed these clowns could have missed the playoffs all together. lol

arsaint 12-05-2010 10:46 PM

I just can't see Atlanta losing to anyone left on their schedule but us, and 1 Falcons loss is not enough for us to win the division.

I guess Seattle could pull some magic out of their butt, but Carolina has long since mailed it in for the season. Tampa had the most to play for because their playoff hopes would get slim with a loss today.

Only way Carolina loses on to ATL is if the Falclowns rest their players in the finale...

arsaint 12-05-2010 10:49 PM

And I certainly don't think we can't win it all from the #5 seed.

We would probably have STL or SEA in the wildcard, then have our shot at the Falcons (unless the #6 team wins).

I also think if we play our game we could beat them in the GA Dome or on Mars. What I have seen of them has not made me think they are even close to unbeatable.

WhoDat!656 12-05-2010 11:01 PM

The Bucs certainly didn't help themselves with some of the crap they pulled either.

They burn 2 timeouts on Atlanta's 1st possession and don't challenge a very bad spot.

They got a 15 yd penalty on the Falcants and the next play they gave it back with one on themselves.

The Saints have am un-opened bottle of MoJo from last year they are starting to drink from:

They got the Bengals to jump on the 4th & Goal play.

Palmer has a brain fart and doesn't call a TO with seconds left in the game.

The Saints survived a complete meltdown in ST plays.

The Falcants will find out that Lady Luck is a fickle bytch and she is a first cousin to Murphy of Murphy's Law fame.

Don't believe everything you see.

The clowns have been remarkably spared the injury bug this season. Getting toward the end, odds catch up. 4 more games to go and they really can't take their foot off the pedal or they risk going from 1st to 5th in a flash. Look for more injuries...and opportunities for losses.

This is my take, too.

darstep 12-06-2010 11:48 AM

The trap is set. Dirty bait is in place and all we need is a nibble. They've got to start falling to pieces. They've been waffling under the weight of 1st place way too long. They are just not that strong.

saintfan 12-06-2010 02:20 PM

They can be beaten, and it wouldn't take the likes of the Saints or the Patriots to do it either. Then again, you've got to make sure you play a clean game cause their previous games have proven the refs are going to call every ticky tack foul they see to the advantage of this media favorite.

winmill1 12-06-2010 04:18 PM

That interception that Freeman threw wasn't a catch. There were som questionable calls in that game. I have never seen a team as lucky as Atlanta. It seems like they win every game on the last drive with a long field goal or some busted coverage play. Or with Roddy White pushing someone down to make a catch. It seems like Roddy White is becoming a trash talking punk as well.

st thomas 12-06-2010 04:41 PM

when they threw the flag on him for taunting yesterday and they kept him in for a play or 2 he was being thrashed by coachs for the foul on national t.v. that was priceless. he just annoys me that white guy.
