I know, this is going to be a tough one, I respect the Ravens, and their god awful weather this time of year.

Saintswrath 12-13-2010 02:42 AM

If God can bring the mercury up a few like into the high 40's or even better 50's this sunday i would be grateful.
We can take Ravens i just don't think we can take the weather, the bad officiating AND Mother Nature. My saints are good but not THAT GOOD.

leilung 12-13-2010 03:40 AM

Have some faith fellas! We don't need a dome to win, just good ball control. In the words of Brees: "We do what we do. We play how we play. We win."

leilung 12-13-2010 03:43 AM

Besides, I have tix for the game and driving down to Baltimore from NJ!

That one spec of black and gold in the stands...that will be ME!!! :cool3:

skymike 12-13-2010 06:51 AM

Have fun, Leilung, and enjoy some real weather.

You know, I'm ready to see the Saints overcome not only the Falcons this season, but some adverse conditions, in somebody else's house.

I remember back in the 49er's glory days, they had a playoff game in Chicago, where they were supposed to suffer, and get beat down by the Bears and their Big Bad Weather.

didnt happen. The 49ers marched out, took care of business like the damn 49ers they were, and kicked the Bears and their weather out of the playoffs. Everyone stopped talking about the weather, as the 9'ers walked on thru the playoffs, and on to the Super Bowl.

While I cant stand the 49ers from the 80s, I have to admire the way they completely ignored the supposed adversity, blew off other teams home field advantages, including ours, and took care of business.

I think Our Saints of today have this kind of guts, and this kind of ability.

Beastmode 12-13-2010 06:59 AM

The Patriots froze their practice balls last week. I have no doublt the Saints will mitigate the effects of weather the best they can. I watched that Patriots game this weekend and you could tell they were ready for it.

Mine are freezing this morning.

TheOak 12-13-2010 07:18 AM

Isn't that about the same weather we saw in Cin?
And had no weather issues.

gumbeau 12-13-2010 07:43 AM

Both teams play in the same weather.

And that weather forecast doesn't look bad at all.

36 degrees is shirt sleeve weather when you are engaged in heavy physical activity.

I used to load tankers in Northern Illinois and down to about 30 degrees no jacket was required as long as you kept moving.

Below 20 is when you really start to feel the cold, especially if its windy.

skymike 12-13-2010 08:07 AM

long as it doesnt rain. cold is one thing. cold rain is miserable.

agree. the cold is not bad at all, if we jump on top and keep the pressure on them. we got this one

niteadept 12-13-2010 09:01 AM

I think we proved in Cincy that we can do this. Nothing would make me any happier this weekend then to beat the "other dirty birds" in their own stadium, and then travel to Atlanta the next weekend and beat them in theirs!! That's how we get a TWO DAT!

QBREES9 12-13-2010 09:21 AM

Weatherman and women can't predict What the weather will be tomorrow they can't t ell ya what it's going to be six days a way

Not the only speck, me and my two boys will be there flying the Black and Gold. Driving over from WV.

TheOak 12-14-2010 06:01 AM

To put it all into perspective..

That is Gumbo and Duck/Goose hunting weather... Perfect for a team from S. Louisiana.

xan 12-14-2010 07:35 AM

Where can I get some practice balls? My game balls are getting worn out!

Mardigras9 12-14-2010 09:10 AM

As long as our running game is effective, we hold on to those frozen balls, it will open up short passes and Baltimore will be unable to keep up with our scoring. Expect our strong tight ends and Pierre to explode in this one. Pulling for Seattle at home, it is our last hope for Atlanta to fall.

AsylumGuido 12-14-2010 09:22 AM

From what I am reading the Ravens are less equipped to deal with bad weather than we are. Their once fearful defense has gotten old and their offense line has lots of trouble run blocking and protecting Flacco. I really like our chances to put them away. The members at the Ravens forum that I am visiting this week appear to agree. They are not confident at all.

neugey 12-14-2010 09:32 AM

Light sneaux fleur-ies with a strong Brees.

Yes but the Falcons can rely on their zebra pattern foul weather gear.

watching a good bit of the game last nite with ravens at houston it looked good for us coming this sunday after what i witnessed, all it did was remind me what i saw when they played the clowns they are old and get real tired by the 3rd quarter. in that game i know were stronger than both them teams. i know the weather could even this out, but only in turnovers. we hold on to the ball and everything will be ALLRIGHT.

yeah, and you gotta remember. these are the people who believe in the Ravens talking.

Speaking of believing, its time for my weekly prediction.
I've thought it over carefully, measured, and formulated numerous constants, variables, and intangibles, and added in sines, cosines, and tangents. Scientiffically, I can assure it you will be something like:

ehhh...

Saints 64, Ravens 6
(Balt. missed extra point in garbage time)

Weather

Morning my fellow BG's. I am looking at the weather in Baltimore for Sunday and it appears to have a 15mph wind, clear, about 30ish. Not great, not bad.

Anyone else hoping that Baltimore tired themselves out Monday night and that they will be exhausted by the 4rth Quarter?

They are always tired by the 4th quarter. That's something I've been hearing about on the Raven forums. Ray-Ray has been getting pushed around late in the games and Ed Reed is a shadow of his former self. Two of the Texans' TD were on his blown coverages.

I have also found out that their playing surface is FieldTurf, the same as the Saints practice facility and the same as Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy. We shouldn't have any problem at all with footing.

Good info AG!

AsylumGuido 12-15-2010 10:36 AM

More weather info ...

Virtually no chance of precipitation on Sunday. Only 10% chance. It is supposed to be around 35 degrees and sunny with some clouds.

Great football weather!

saintsfan1976 12-15-2010 10:42 AM

Run, run and more run. We'll need short 3rd downs. This one's on the O line and RB's...

Plenty of play-action in the 4th quarter.

Our TE's will have their hands full blocking against the 3-4 Ravens D.

SmashMouth 12-15-2010 11:24 AM

We'll be fine ... Breesus played at Purdue ... it's not like he's never done it before.

CashAndFlash 12-15-2010 12:59 PM

On the turf issue... from reading their forum, they are saying they use the same stuff we have in the Dome... Momentum whatever.

They used to have Momentum 51. They went to FieldTurf this year. The same surface we have at the practice facility, so we are very used to it. The Bengals also have FieldTurf and we had no problem there.

Does anybody know if we are practicing outside or in this week?
