Drew Brees INTs

I've heard several people talk about how Drew Brees interceptions are a cause for concern. This is true, though I must say that the interception column is just a number; all interceptions aren't created equal. A large number of his interceptions have been on long throws on third downs that worked more like a punt(somtimes I wonder if he is just taking a shot on purpose; as when he does this he often keeps the ball towards the sidelines as to take away any chance of any sort of return). Combine that with all the interceptions I've seen off the hands of receivers and stuff; I'm not sure if it's as big of a problem as many people have said.

10-3 and one FG from having the best record in football. I'd say we're ok.

Not a sexy stat to have but at least 4 or 5 of those were on his receivers and Betts. The catch up INT's also factor in... when he was forced to make plays at the end of a couple of games. I'm not that worried about them.

Bingo!

Tip drill should never go against the QB when it hits the receiver in the hands first.

I couldn't disagree more.
We all know from past experience (ie. Aaron 'Smiley' Brooks) that turnovers can change the complexion of the game quickly. If the team can't control the turnovers, to include the 1 or 2 INTs/ game, then we WILL have problems moving deep into the playoffs.

Although more than a couple of the INT's were tipped or mishandled balls by our receivers, turnovers in ANY form cost us points and IMHO you can't repeat if you can't keep the ball out of the hands of your opponent. So YES, it is cause for concern.

I hate interception. The Saints are 10 - 3. I'm learning to live with it.

Theres a couple that are not Brees' fault, but he is forcing alot more sometimes than he used to.
Examples are the long pass into double coverage yesterday, goal line pick vs seahawks, and the other pick vs seahawks.
The guy is still the best, but hes forcing a little sometimes. It annoys Brees, so ya know he will get it sorted, the guys attention to detail is unrivalled.

Interceptions happen, it's the ability to maintain composer as a team that keeps the Saints winning.
