Oddly enough, the New Orleans Saints should benefit from the Washington Redskins' benching of quarterback Donovan McNabb.

It essentially guarantees that the Redskins will send their third-round pick to the Saints in next year's draft as part of the trade they made for offensive tackle Jammal Brown this offseason.
The Redskins made trades for both McNabb and Brown this offseason. They made the McNabb trade first, and the compensation was going to be either a third- or fourth-round pick based on how well he played this year. If McNabb makes the Pro Bowl or if the Redskins win nine games or make the playoffs, then the Redskins will owe their third-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Redskins (5-8) have been eliminated from the playoff race. McNabb could technically still make the Pro Bowl, but it's unlikely. And it's believed that it won't count if he makes the Pro Bowl as an alternate.
That means the Redskins will send their third-round pick in 2011 to the Saints. In return, the Saints will either have to send Washington their 2011 fifth-round choice or a 2012 fourth-round choice - depending on the Redskins' preference.
If the pick somehow drops to a fourth-round pick, the Saints will instead owe the Redskins a sixth- or seventh-round pick in return.
Meanwhile, the Saints aren't likely to receive a bonus sixth-round pick from the Redskins. The Saints will receive the sixth-rounder if Brown plays in 90 percent of the Redskins' snaps or gets selected to the Pro Bowl this year. ... Brown has played in every game for Washington, but he has missed a substantial amount of snaps because of the lingering hip injury that sidelined him for the 2009 season. And a Pro Bowl invitation would be very unlikely because of his inconsistent production.

Yeah wish we could get a rookie RB in the draft, Demarco Murray won't be there at the 3rd round but hopefully we could trade up for him or somebody else.
We need fast OLB's aswell, TCU has some good LB's but i'm unsure how long they will be on the board.

We should get a 6th or 7th rounder for Fujita. He has been solid for the Browns.

I just tried to find the details of his deal... no luck... but he has missed the last 5 games, so if there's a 90% stipulation or something like that, we're out of luck.

Do you know any more?

Thanks Mitch. It sounds like our FO is still working a lot of things out until the end of the season.
