I didn't get a chance to see the game, just highlights and via the internet. I'm not sure if this has been addressed either, but is it a chance that the new field led to the slow first half. If I remember right, Duece didn't do too well in the first half either. Maybe it just took a half to get used to playing a game on turf similar to the practice field. Again, no excuses, just a thought.

I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day! Geaux Saints

I was curious about that as well. I think they only had one practice on it this week, but I could be wrong. The field looks pretty cool, except for the black trails spraying everywhere when they cut.

That bothered me too. I think that gets better the more they play/treat it.
I don\'t remember the black dust at Atlanta.

that \"dust\" is actually little pieces of rubber, same type as they use in tires

the rubber would eventually settle and become packed in a little but i heard that the super dome was going to pull it up and put it back down in between every game so they could still support other events

I think did have an effect. I can remember in the first quarter Duece slipping after catching a short pass and it costing him yardage. Hopefully, the picking up and puttting it down won\'t make it any worse.
