Very Dirty Birds: Hatred or Exploitation?

In an article published on sbnation.com, “Senior Editor” Jason Kirk calls out the City of New Orleans and Saints fans for “exploited every iota of their 2005 disaster to better celebrate a Super Bowl win.”
Quote:
Hurricane Katrina, conversely, is no laughing matter. Ask Roddy White, who found out last week that even though New Orleans has exploited every iota of their 2005 disaster to better celebrate a Super Bowl win, any mention that the "Who Dat Nation" might be a little self-righteous in their usage of Katrina as a plot device is simply off-limits.

According to the writer, Saints fans “tack on the suffering of thousands and the devastation of decades to enhance” the luster of the team.
Somehow Saints fans are responsible for Katrina, play it like a card often, and have tacked it on to the Superbowl Champions Saints from 2009.
Hatred or exploitation?
Exploiting Katrina for sensationalism, hits and “clicks” in an article is about as low, classless and unprofessional as it gets in journalism. Consider SB Nation NOT a real source of anything other than blogging drivel.

It’s hard to see how this benefits the Falcons and their fans.
