Very Dirty Birds: Hatred or Exploitation?

1 Attachment(s)
In an article published on sbnation.com, “Senior Editor” Jason Kirk calls out the City of New Orleans and Saints fans for “exploited every iota of their 2005 disaster to better celebrate a Super Bowl win.”

Quote:

Hurricane Katrina, conversely, is no laughing matter. Ask Roddy White, who found out last week that even though New Orleans has exploited every iota of their 2005 disaster to better celebrate a Super Bowl win, any mention that the "Who Dat Nation" might be a little self-righteous in their usage of Katrina as a plot device is simply off-limits.
According to the writer, Saints fans “tack on the suffering of thousands and the devastation of decades to enhance” the luster of the team.

Somehow Saints fans are responsible for Katrina, play it like a card often, and have tacked it on to the Superbowl Champions Saints from 2009.

Hatred or exploitation?

Exploiting Katrina for sensationalism, hits and “clicks” in an article is about as low, classless and unprofessional as it gets in journalism. Consider SB Nation NOT a real source of anything other than blogging drivel.

It’s hard to see how this benefits the Falcons and their fans.

**** him.

Exploitation. They mask any topic in BS so that they can bring up Katrina again, and again, and again, and again.

Like the one Who Dat said, he's just vomiting all over the internet.

He took down the article, so I went ahead and posted a reply on another one of his stories:

I'm not going to dignify that with a response, but F*** those A$$ Holes.

He's just some jackass from Atlanta who writes for a webpage. He doesn't know **** plus he's a dirty bird. It's the media that continues to tie the Saints and New Orleans to Katrina, not the residents or fans.

Article removed. Congrats to them to have some decency.

The people of Louisiana have been exploited for years. Almost half the natural gas comes from guess where and the oil off our coast and refineries supply the rest of the country with fuel and clean air while we suck it all in. We have nothing to show for it but a failing education system, low paying jobs, and high crime, and the Federal government is taking almost all the loot. He can Eat a Dick.

Appreciated your reply. Anyone can write anything these days and it still doesn't make them anymore of a journalist then me standing in my garage makes me a car. :whatever:

Yeah.. If there,s anybody whose tired of hearing about Katrina... It's Saints fans.

Saintswrath 12-28-2010 08:31 PM

It caught wind and then it was no longer just an inside joke for Atlanta Failcon fans to laugh it, it was turning into big news, they had no choice but to pull it otherwise they'll probably lose their funding.. bunch of idiots! I should have saved it and submitted to fox.

This is great stuff. Media sources are now picking up where Roddy left off. Dirty Birds are great to play against -- free bulletin board material for our next encounter, if they get that far.
