The Eagles are and have been a mediocre team for some time, check out their record. Their QB is a criminal and is morally bankrupt as is witnessed by his cruelty to animals. There is something intrinsically wrong with a human being so perverted as to take their cruelty out on defenseless animals that, ultimately, will pass on to the team through their leader.
Not sure why the public is O.K. to be O.K. with Michael Vick, but he isn't O.K. and giving him a pass is not O.K.
He should never have been allowed back in the NFL. Shame on us, but ultimately, his core will be passed on to the Eagles core and they will fail.
Saints, or Falcons can/will dispatch Eagles if presented the opportunity.

Bottomline, the Eagles can’t beat either of these football teams if they face them in the playoffs.
And based on that grammatical error, I tend to agree with the writer!!!

The Eagles defense is bad. If Vick has a bad game, they're screwed as a team... at least we have a defense to back up our offense.

America could vote in a black President...

Well... Wharris, I don't blame ya for feeling that way, but personally I can't keep convicting Vick for a crime he's paid for (and still paying for). He seems to have made some positive changes in his personal life so I have to give him benefit of the doubt in that arena.

Eagles are good. No question, but they're not so good that they deserve a status of being head and shoulders above the entire playoff pack. I believe the Eagles and Saints are on a collision course for the NFC title. I'll put my money on Greg Williams to put a containment scheme on Vick, thus shutting down the Eagle's improv offense.

Eagles are all flash and dash with Vick, Jackson and McCoy. There is little to worry about beyond that. Guys like Celek and Maclin are decent players but nothing special. Their defense is a weakness overall. Their home turf gives em some edge in games as well.

I don't see these guys going anywhere in the post season. Vick can be explosive but he can also derail. He's a mid season highlite reel.

I'd gladly face them over Atlanta or Chicago anytime. Chicago's defense at Soldier worries me much more than Vick and a few speedies come post season.

The falcons are good. Th eagles are very good. The saints are great.

wharris8375 12-29-2010 07:43 AM

No one has to keep convicting anyone. Vick WAS convicted. Served a pretty lenient sentence and now finds himself right back where he was before he became a major felon.
I just don't believe anyone who has in their heart whatever it is that allows them to abuse animals will ever be any different.
Eagles, mediocre, Vick, criminal that shouldn't be allowed to play in any professional sport and that's about all you can say about that.

After last nights beat down by Minnesota, eagles can't even qualify as very good. Vick was handed his a$$ right there at home. Saints will do them in.

i still think it's us, eagles, falcons, in that order. as far as quality of play.

I do not understand why people say that you cannot keep convicting him... he paid his debt, etc

He has and if a team wants to give him a shot (Philly did) they are welcome too, but what I don't understand is the argument that HE DESERVES another chance. That somehow he must be allowed to play because he went to prison.

Last I checked Mike owed a debt to society, society did not owe him one...

I would not be a fan of the Saints if they employed someone like that. I couldn't cheer for him.

All of that said- I don't think Philly has looked great for quite some time. Take away the long ball and big play and they just aren't that good. Force Mike make decisions and fit the ball in and he struggles. The only difference right now is that teams have film on him. They are learning his tendencies. If Philly plays Green Bay or the Giants they might go home after the first week.

Deion Sanders has annointed Vick and Brady as the only legit MVP candidates. Looks like Brady is going to get it. One thing Vick isn't is consistenet.

your opinion is shared by the 99% of the population that has a brain, two ears, and a tv set.

After last nite, the shine is off the vick, lol. They play well at times but should've lost to the giants and then laid an egg last nite. Let just hope those other birds we despise lay an egg on sunday.

Saintswrath 12-29-2010 01:08 PM

Vick is still crazy on the field but Minnesota put out some Blue Print on how to keep him contained, however Vick seems to do better when his head is in the game, the Delay may have messed with him a bit.. Players tend to get themselves in gametime mindset building up to the game on the day they suppose to play, by moving the date 2 more days up and having them sit in a hotel room and watch movies etc that kinda took their mind out of it

the-commish 12-29-2010 01:56 PM

Looks like it will be Green Bay (assuming they whip da Bears at the Tundra) will be playing at Philly in the wildcard round. The Pack won in the regular season, and can win again. If that happens (assuming the Saints take care of the Rams/Seahawks) Green Bay would play at Atlanta, and the Saints would play at Soldier Field in the divisional round. If both the Packers and Saints won those games, the NFCCG would be Green Bay vs New Orleans at the Superdome.

Alternatively, if Philly beat Green Bay, Philly would play at Chicago, and the Saints would play at Atlanta in the divisional round.

Still, a lot can happen, even with only one regular season game to go.

and the panthers can still beat the falcons...

exiled 12-29-2010 02:58 PM

since "on any given Sunday..." say the Panthers did play spoiler - and the Bears win in GB - who gets the 1 seed us or Bears?
thanks o rama.

CheramieIII 12-29-2010 06:04 PM

Look if Green Bay wins this weekend, which is highly likely, the Packers will travel to Philly to the wildcard game and if by chance the Eagles win they will have to go to Chicago at win. I don't think they can do either. The Saints will have to play the Rams or Seahags, both teams we can beat and then we're back to ATLANTA and we should have beat them twice this year so we'll make it true in the playoffs. Then we have some unfinished business with the Bears and we won't lose this time.

Sinner 12-29-2010 09:40 PM

Bears have Vick dialed in - as did the Vikes... Imagine what Greg Williams can do. Not a problem. We are not the Redskins.
