Falcants still mad over MNF loss

Angry Falcons. I wouldn’t count on Fox going out in a blaze of glory. The Falcons are still mad about losing to the Saints on Monday night. Coach Mike Smith has a rule about letting a game go after a day, but this one is sticking with Atlanta. I expect the Falcons will take out their frustration on the Panthers.

I expect the falcons will be looking ahead to us and struggling with the kitty cats.

Entirely possible. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see the Panthers give them a good game.

Division games are always the toughest...

WhoDat!656 01-01-2011 07:14 PM

Hey Mitch!! Karate Kid II is on and just played Mr Miagi (sp) say the lines on your profile!!

504state 01-01-2011 07:17 PM

You never know, remember the Saints at one time? There was a time that if we were in the same spot they were we would be almost gauranteed to lose this game.

realheavyd 01-01-2011 07:20 PM

Screw the Falcons!

WhoDat!656 01-01-2011 07:21 PM

Those days are over. It is now considered a upset when teams like Tampa, Cleveland or Arizona beats the Saints!

For the most part its an upset when those 3 teams beat anyone lol. I am glad we are in the playoffs, but I really don't see us going deep. Wouldn't surprise me if we were the first team ever to lose to a team with a losing record in the playoffs.

realheavyd 01-01-2011 07:34 PM

The Saints will spear the Falcons in mid-flight again in the playoffs too if they have to!

Won't go deep in the playoffs? Are you serious?

The defense is coming together.

The offense is getting healthy.

I feel better about the Saints going to the Super Bowl this year than I did last year

Beastmode 01-01-2011 07:43 PM

It will be a glorios event watching the Falcon starters take the field.
It's downright embarrassing when the division leader can't rest starters the final game knowing they would if they could.

G504 01-01-2011 07:48 PM

Still an upset, but I think the Falcons finally got exposed, & if Carolina gives a dang, they can follow our blueprint to shutting down Turner. Then we just gotta count on Cluasson to not want to lose his job to Luck BEFORE the draft & Steve Smith & Jonathan Stewart (or Williams, which ever running back isn't hurt) to have some pride.

They know how to do it, question is, are they healthy enough in key positions on D.

Not me. We had a fire last year, and I always had the feeling we were capable of putting together video game type play on offense no matter how far down we were. I don't get that feeling this year. Drew has been off at key times and we just have not clicked like last year. We are still capable of doing that, but I have not seen it much. The defense had a great game, but just a week prior the D got owned.

I'm really not that sure that Smith would, I wouldn't, Knowing we can't afford to..... damn

SaintsBro 01-02-2011 12:19 AM

They will probably beat Carolina, but the Saints are in the Falcons' heads now, there's no question about it. And now the Falcons know THEY CAN BE BEATEN AT HOME, and that any playoff caliber team can shut their game down (see Eagles and Steelers games for further proof). That is the definition of EXPOSED, although it takes a good team to beat them.

If I was a Falcon fan, I would feel pretty shaky and nervous about the benefits of that home field advantage, after seeing what happened to them in their own Dome last Monday, against a playoff caliber team. And worst of all, that was when it REALLY counted. So you know that the possibility of a Falcons choke job is totally on the table, it's not been proven that they can handle the pressure.

|Mitch| 01-02-2011 12:27 AM

I think with Mike Smith display of fits, it's apparent they have problems with pressure...lol

I believe we have a division game to take care of this week.

D_it_up 01-02-2011 02:46 AM

I hope we do play them again in the playoffs and eliminate them. The crying will be ten times as much as the Vikings and Vikings fans from last year. It affected Childress, Favre, and the rest of the team so much that they imploded this year in that organization from the top down (no roof collapsing pun intended).

It was a brutal amount of whining

I wonder what is more embarrassing? Starters taking the field and beating the crap out of a team(Falcons 31 Panthers 10) or..............

The starters taking the field and getting the crap beat out of them right before the playoffs start!(Bucs 23 Saints 13)

What do you think Beastmode?

We also lost to Tampa at the end of the year last year, at home, with more starters playing than played today(We had Colston, Shockey, and Thomas out today). Most could have played if it were a playoff game today. btw, how did it turn out last year for us? Oh yeah, a ring!!!! Before you say we had HFA last year, which was great, dont get me wrong......we are 6-2 on the road and 5-3 @ home this year. We also lost our last 3 going into the playoffs last year, in an NFC that was a lot tougher last year IMO. Need to be reminded again how that turned out? I cant speak for all Saints fans, if we get into the second round, I prefer to play the Falcons rather than the Bears or Eagles.

Why is there a failcon fan hanging around our forum. Somebody needs to go back to their bird cage.

73Saint 01-03-2011 01:29 PM

I'm not really worried about who we play or what happens to the stupid thug Falcons.

What I am worried about is the fact that we have played very inconsistent football all year, and we have made a lot more mistakes (fumbles, penalties, picks, etc.) than last year.

Now, do I think we are capable of beating anyone? Absolutely. And as long as we have Brees, anything can happen. I just hope we can find a way to put 4 consistent, error free games together. If we do that, neither Mattie Ice (what a douche of a nickname), nor anyone else will beat us.

I will say this, Caddieman, I wish we had the tremendous good fortune your team has had this year in the injury category. It is quite amazing that you guys have had VIRTUALLY NO INJURIES ALL YEAR LONG. (jinx)

Whatever you guys are doing to keep players healthy keep it up.
