So Sean has to study two quarterbacks

Hasselbeck will be ready - Whitehurst lit it up a little...

Hey fellow (and lady) WHO DATS...

Tell me something to relieve the fear of embarrassment. C'mon now. Help!

|Mitch| 01-02-2011 10:35 PM

Are Hasselbeck and Whitehurst good enough to warrant much studying? We beat them already once this year, nothing much should change...

lynwood 01-02-2011 10:41 PM

Like every saints game, I'll be nervous until it's over. Never assume anything.

Sinner 01-02-2011 10:45 PM

These are the games that bite us the hardest... Everybody better get their heart meds ready...

spkb25 01-02-2011 10:49 PM

Get up early, get rid of the crowd

spkb25 01-02-2011 10:49 PM

No excuse for us to lose this game.

100%.
It is a jungle out there, so you either get up to survive, or you die.
Not even the zebras are an excuse.

Choupique 01-03-2011 07:33 AM

Our defense will eat them alive, not to mention our offense.

Think of it as a West Coast sea chicken, yard bird outdoor BBQ.

We don't have to play in the sneaux.

SaintFanQ 01-03-2011 07:48 AM

If the Saints turn up with the injuries sorted and most important, the right attitude, mindset, whatever you want to call it, then we will be ok. If the Saints go in there with even the slightest thought that this should be a reasonably easy win, or whatever, then it will be playoffs over for the Saints!!!

We have the talent to go all the way, I really believe this, but we have to stop giving away all the penalty yardage we have been lately, committing turnovers etc. and make sure we execute the plays on both sides of the ball, to perfection. Do those things and we will be fine!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

WHO DAT!!!!!!!

papz 01-03-2011 08:58 AM

Sure it would have been great to get a first round bye, but we couldn't have asked for a better matchup. No excuses... get er done.

Budsdrinker 01-03-2011 11:59 AM

OL better step it up. Raheem Brock was an animal last night so we better be prepared.

This

Our defense should have no problem shutting down whichever qb goes out there to play. It's time for some pick 6 from the defense. Our o-line, has to protect, protect, protect and our receivers, rb's, te's and whoever else wants to go out has to catch the dang ball, run with the ball and hold the ball like they own it. Too much pressure on Brees, means balls thrown a little too early and that means guys not in their correct slots. Just win the game.

Everybody and their grandmother knows it will be Whitehurst, but the Seahawks will milk this right up until five minutes before game time, just you watch.

What makes you say this? I figured Hasselback would be back for sure. He looked pretty good in pre-game.

Oh, and you stole my Avatar!!

...and that!

saintfan 01-03-2011 04:09 PM

Seattle can't run. If we take them seriously and prevent them from doing the thing they aren't very good at to start with we win going away regardless of who they start at QB.

Rugby Saint II 01-03-2011 05:56 PM

This should be the weekend that gets us over the mental hump. It's time to focus and just do whatever it takes to win from here out.

QBREES9 01-03-2011 08:48 PM

No worries.

Sinner 01-04-2011 09:12 PM

Startin to feel better! I think... Still gonna keep heart meds (cigs) next to snack tray.

SaintsBro 01-05-2011 11:35 AM

I am officially backtracking from my earlier "even my grandmother knows it will be Whitehurst" prediction... Grandma now says she's not so sure. It's just that Whitehurst kinda looks a bit like Jesus with that beard of his, and seeing as they'll need a miracle to win this game against our D, that sorta scares me a little bit.

st thomas 01-05-2011 11:54 AM

no worries here either; just my own bro's here get me turned in circles. com-on man we got this. its a win by 2 + scores. this is the playoffs theres nomo up or down to the compitition. vegas has it right lol.

saintfan 01-05-2011 06:57 PM

Matt lit us up last time we played. He'll be starting on Saturday if he can walk...

SeahawksFan 01-05-2011 07:01 PM

Head Coach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks is still playing his cards close to his vest on this. Charlie Whitehurst and Matt Hasselbeck are splitting reps in practice 50/50.

I guess he wants to keep Head Coach Sean Payton of the New Orleans Saints guessing! Might come right down to a game-time decision. That's pretty cagey!

;)

It's a non-issue. Matt will play.

Sorry, I gotta get you though, everything has changed, no backs except bush, jones and two backups. We were in the comfy confines off the DOME before. Now we go into the elements. We have all the pressure they have very little if any cause they aint even supposed to be playin with that record.

|Mitch| 01-05-2011 07:54 PM

At the time of that message, Ivory nor PT were on IR. But just like last time, we should stifle the run and a one dimensional 'hawk team *shouldn't beat us. This is assuming we keep the giveaways to a minimum
