Seahawks forum

I went on the Seahawks forum to congratulate them on getting into the playoffs and to see what they were saying.

By a 3:1 margin, Seahawks fans don't believe Seattle can win Saturday.

What would you expect? In a poll in Seattle asking Seattle fans if they wanted Seattle to beat St. Louis or lose to St. Louis, a majority of fans hoped that the Seahawks would lose.:dunce:

Saintswrath 01-04-2011 01:24 AM

Can't blame them, every single entity in sports is going against Seattle even the Seattle fans are going against seattle, they are just grateful to get this far, If Saints don't show up and win this game it will be the biggest upset in playoffs in a VERY LONG TIME!..

maybe ever .... if you remove the super bowl for the 18-1 Pats.

skymike 01-04-2011 06:28 AM

they should read our injury report. It might give them hope.

CheramieIII 01-04-2011 07:51 AM

This is what has me concerned also..

Speedy Ron 01-04-2011 09:02 AM

they have a losing record against a powerhouse team. at least they are not delusional.
honestly they probably have a chance due to the fact that we are going there with our 2nd string

Exactly. Not to mention the fact that we tend to play down to our competition.

Belair57 01-04-2011 10:45 AM

I think drews left nut could play QB and we could still pull off a W.

darstep 01-04-2011 11:05 AM

Now I'm worried. Hoping that NONE of our guys are reading or listening to the press or popular opinion. How realistic is that? I hope they show up well prepared, execute the plan and put this team away like they should. Get this thing done and start to make ready for the next road trip.

RailBoss 01-04-2011 11:09 AM

After watching the Rams vs Seahawks game, I think our backups would fare well. Although with a sloppy field and our host of injuries could make this game a little tricky.

Rugby Saint II 01-04-2011 01:59 PM

The problem is that we always seem to play down to the competition. If we expect to win this game then we could very easily lose it. We had better go in thinking that this is the best team in the NFL.

+ me

SaintPauly 01-04-2011 02:26 PM

The regular season is over now. This is a new start for everyone in it. You should prepare for ANY team, even a 7-9 one. We have NEVER won a road play off game in our history as a franchise. This is not a gimme game, by any means.

It's ok for us to think that, but if the Saints players start to think like that, they will surely lose...even to a suck-a** team like Seattle. Can you say Arizona?

SaintPauly 01-04-2011 02:47 PM

I'm all for having confidence, but being over confident, is a recipe for disaster.

Hmmm that is pretty sad. Sounds like some added good motivation for us to show up and do well.

Qwest Field doesn't really get sloppy unless it snows during the game (which is rare). It's well-drained so even during downpours footing is stable.

They play on FieldTurf. That's the same artificial surface as our practice field. It doesn't get sloppy.

By the way, if you guys want to check out some Seahawks forums, there are a lot of them.

Just do a Google for: "Seahawks forum"

Srgt. Hulka 01-04-2011 05:13 PM

Found this quote on one Seahawks forum: LMAO

"At this point, the Seahawks are like a retard with a pair of scissors. They're not gonna do anything constructive, but they're more than capable of ****ing somebody's day up"

Yeah, this is one fact, that has been being thrown around alot, since Sunday. If the Saints want to prove no fluke, which I don't think they are, this is the game to shut the critics up.

Help me out, Yats. I have now hear twice that we have never won a "true" road game. I've been a fan since '82, and I have no clue what the hell that means. Did we win a fake one?

AlaskaSaints 01-05-2011 01:32 AM

In tears, Hulka. In tears here! Great find!

Talons 01-06-2011 08:38 PM

never mind the finicky hawk fan that wants us to lose..hes the loser that wants a better draft pick..omg, im the seahawk fan that NEVER wants his Hawks to lose..we somehow were given the opportunity to play on..so by hell or high water the Hawks must win this game. The saints better bring everything they got, cause the Seahawks WILL come to play.

TheKillerBs 01-06-2011 09:24 PM

skymike, I think they're talking about the SB last year. It was a fake road game, since it was played on a neutral site.

B_Dub_Saint 01-06-2011 10:36 PM

Let's kick their asses!!! I think bush is gonna go off sat afternoon!$$$

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. (ding) (light goes on)

btw, did your avatar accept the position as the new Dread Pirate Roberts?
I always wondered.

skymike 01-08-2011 05:21 AM

statistic, schmatistic

You know, if you have some weird statistic floating supposedly that you've never won a "true road game," but that road game you did won was The Super Bowl...

...then thats pretty much a garbage statistic.

TheOak 01-08-2011 06:43 AM

I dont know...... Our Road Record is 14 W and 3 L over the last two seasons... One of those 14 had to be a real road game right?

Since the ignorance that chooses to slant our SB victory as a "non-road game" through sheer dumbfoolery. We beat the Deity Payton Manning away. So that should count for two road wins.

The term Road, and Away for games defines the Teams location in regards to their home field. So even if the Saints play in Tiger Stadium, it is a road game...

If I remember correctly, the Colts were the home team and we were the visiting team, that, in my book, makes it a road game.

I agree with this assessment. Seahawks are going to be up for this game.
